Captain Nova (not Capitan) can be found on Netflix (at least, here in the US). It's a Dutch movie with many language options for both dubbed-audio and captions. 1hr, 25 minutes long.
The stupidest part of the movie is that Nova does not try to go to the authority first to deliver her message. I mean her futuristic gears and robot are more than enough to make everyone take her seriously
_"Hi, I'm from the future. Here are some blueprints for patents that will make you billions of dollars. They are yours if you stop drilling the pole. Deal?"_
Plot-hole in movies like this is that Future-Nova SHOULD know exactly what's going to happen throughout the incident because she should remember it from HER childhood. Unless, of course, we're going with the whole "branching timelines" theory, in which case altruistic time-travel would be a bit pointless because there'd no reason to assume the same stuff would happen in a different timeline.
Time travel itself is impossible to begin with, but even if time-travel was possible, you know it would be used for nefarious purposes rather than altruistic ones... At best you could use time travel for observation purposes, perhaps using virtual particles to create a hologram of sorts of a scene from the past.
Does not the word ""science fiction ""have no meaning to you ?? The only way this movie is challenging to anyone would be due to the lack of imagination.
No, AI can't do that. It's easy to tell them apart, perfect smooth beautiful voice, monotone, no emotional outbursts, reading errors. On my channel the same voice that reads with errors is a colonized live voice, used when necessary, mostly it's a human live voice.
@@TMar1961Even in a made up world, there must be rules. If every inconsistency can be waved away with a “It’s just a movie” then there’s no real drama.
You have not read the comments on this video. The vast majority are mocking and comparing the protagonist with Greta Thunberg. Humanity cannot change its dark future; it simply does not love its future children and grandchildren enough. My needs are more important than those of society and any future generation!
You need to consider whether going back in time would alter anything. Maybe they did this already? Perhaps the idea that you can alter a future is false. The future you want to alter is already the result of your attempted tampering.
I've watched a LOT of "recap" channels focused on summarizing movies... haven't seen the movie yet (looking to see where I can stream it, if possible!), but if this is as accurate as it is detailed, you've got an instant subscriber! I mean, I'll admit the bar is low, especially if recapped by people who are new to English (or use "auto translate" which mixes up genders and descriptions), and can't accurately edit details, which end up becoming a drain on energy (for viewers), but this seemed thorough and well-put together! I can appreciate how much work went into this.
Thank you. In fact, we have a large team and all the work is done manually, but mistakes are made. The only place where AI is involved is thumbnails and it takes up to 8 hours to create them, because we also have manual work.
We already have millions of abandoned oil wells around the world, belching trillions of tons of methane gas every year. We should concentrate on caping these off and leave our cows alone.
The Recap is better than the movie. The screenplay places the future in the timeline of the film 'Idiocracy', where humanity's intelligence experiences a steep decline. In the screenplay, elite squads occupy a house without leaving anyone to guard the perimeter, children can enter a maximum-security military facility carrying a giant weapon and walk out carrying a girl on their shoulders without being disturbed, and all of this after hold a researcher at gunpoint with no alarms triggered. The future idiots think that a hologram will be surprising enough to convince someone in the past instead of a more dramatic action, like the display of the Terminator 2's mechanical arm. Only the slightly less idiotic intelligence of a teenager prevents the protagonist from killing the time travel inventor, creating an inevitable paradox. In conclusion, a screenplay that didn't deserve to be filmed.
There's a plot hole at the beginning with the fingerprints. How tf do they have a little girls finger prints on file? What crimes has this child committed? Apparently Europe does this ok then Europe
I agree. However, given how this story takes place in the ‘future(s)’, there could be some kind of ‘’’system’’’ in place that requires having a child’s prints on file.
An otherwise idyllic society could be a totalitarian one and have the DNA and fingerprints on file. Look at how much personal info the former East Germany authorities had on file for so many people.
@ChelleD22 I mean I'd agree if not for the fact we live in this future time. Maybe off by 1 year but like this was made close enough to the date to know we weren't gonna jump by far in tech by now
THE cover picture is misleading since scene with the woman in the spacesuit with the spaceship in the background doesn't appear in the actual movie at all. In the move (Dutch language) a woman goes back in time from the future and lands on Earth as a girl.
First minute of the plot killed the movie for me. NO kid would be driving his quad through the woods - at night. A crappy "... just in time to save the day" premise always leads to a crap movie.
I don't get the purpose of these "Reader Digest" movie recaps. They're not reviews, they're not trailers, they just tell all in 10 minutes. What good is that?
I've seen this movie (and TV series) before. They're just replacing the lead role from male to female. The trend in movie making nowadays. Except its implausible at the least case, down right obscured in others. Especially when the villain is male vs a female. The plot seems written by an adolescent.
Um, actually ... I firmly believe us foks with disabilities, particularly wheelchair users, are better equipped to be the perfect space travelers. Walking is highly overrated... y'all two-footers put too much emphasis on two-footed propulsion. Space is the one place where walking is a rather moot point... a qualified disadvantage, if you ask me. Were I a scientist at all, I'd likely be there now ... quite literally on equal footing for once! And hard-pressed to find a reason to come back!
Don't see why not. Most people who go into space are wrapped in heavy suits, plumbed into electronics, and plumbing and tied down. Consider the advantages of space travel if you're wheelchair bound😊
