Loved this video! ❤ castlevania is under appreciated vs the tv series. I also love the cute characters that really pack a mighty punch. My favorite (from a tv series) is escanor, and (from a video game) young link.
I freaking LOVE Castlevania, its my favorite game series! I got every single game multiple times, and I've Platinumed all of them. XD Just wished Konami would actually care about it again. Also my favorite color is Green.
Ooo gimme your top 3 in the series? I think I’d go Symphony, Rondo, and then Dawn of Sorrow. I really like Haromony of Dissonance too. Green is a fantastic color!
@@StarlightMirror I love unique lists like this. You're giving me incentive to go back to the Anniversary Collection and play through Bloodlines. I never got very far.
This was the first "Classicvania" I ever played. Back in the day the original, untranslated Japanese version was available on the Wii's Virtual Console service in the US so it was also my first ever non localized game. It's tough but this one's really rewarding thanks to the awesome sprite art and music. It took me a long time to find the specific routes I needed to take to actually complete the game for my skill level, but it never felt like my time wasn't being respected while playing this because everything knew I got to see was so awesome. I remember when I finally got Dracula X Chronicles about 8 years later, I was so excited to finally see all the cutscenes dubbed in English so I could understand what was going on lol
@@WITAWITAVG Yeah it's how I beat it lol. Had a pretty similar experience to yours. I remember this is the game that taught me how to use command inputs, like her weird guardian spirit special attack or the timing for richter's backflip
I've been meaning to play the rest of the series. So far I've only played Portrait of Ruin (I like partner mechanics in games so it having one interested me) and I enjoyed it. (Am dreading boss fights though since I found them hellish in POR and it's apparently one of the easy ones.)

It'd be cool to see Castlevania get a modern revival, with Konami finally bringing back Silent Hill and MGS
Yeah I’d love them to bring it back, but I’d be worried about who they pick to revive the series.
I’m glad I’m finding all these “throwback “ retro review channels lately. It feels like I’m just goin on RUclips again back in 2005😢😂
The good old days! Thank you for checking my video out.

You ever play it with Maria?

Another classic by dilly d
closest thing we've had to a Castlevania game in recent years is a cross over DLC for V Rising.
Dead Cells had that DLC I gotta check out. I heard it’s good.

Check out the sorrow games, Aria and Dawn. They’re awesome.
Editing Dylan is a bully to recording Dylan.
They can’t stand each other!
Good stuff man!
Thank you :)
