CURRENT WARNINGS
▶ Well it seems like people can't get past the RUclips screen anymore because RUclips's requiring you to update the app. If you can get around this and still get to the browser somehow, great! Otherwise... it looks like you can't do anything about that :( _[UPDATE: you probably can! You can reset your phone and go through the process again, but as soon as you connect to Wi-Fi, get to RUclips as soon as you can before it updates, or for the best luck try purposely connecting to a slow Wi-Fi network (around 1mbps down maybe) like maybe a hotspot if it's throttled by the carrier]_
▶ *The biggest problem people seem to be having is it asking for the previous owners information. Restarting the phone should fix it.*
Here's some other solutions...
Can't open file/no download button solution: Make sure both of the files are downloaded before you do this...
Step 1: Search for Google Maps in Chrome and tap on the first link. It should open the app.
Step 2: Tap menu, then tap on Start Driving and tap OK if a message shows talking about your location.
Step 3: Tap the Voice Command button (the microphone) and say "Open File Manager" then it should open the file manager.
Step 4: Tap the yellow/orange downloads button, tap download, then follow the video from the part where you got stuck (on the file manager)
You should be good to go.
Mine says i dont have the file manager app! Wbat do i do?

Ok so try updating it. Tell it to open settings and scroll down to update it all the way

Is there any other way to open settings?
For those who receive an RUclips update the only thing you need to do is take another phone and a micro sd card then download the latest version of RUclips apk at the moment then move it to the sd card when is done take off the sd card and put it in on the phone you’re trying to bypass then go to settings>storage, enter on the sd card and find the apk and install it, after that continue with the video. I hope was useful :)

Brian Valdez when you turn on talkback and make the “L” gesture Go on text to speech settings Then press volume up and down at the same time for a couple of seconds this turn off talkback, now slide from left to right, at this moment u gonna see a menu go to storage then you will see the sd in here
@@phillipgarcia942 thanks for that, i got to the settings >storage and can see the sd card, but i am unable to access the apk i stored on it. All i see is a summary of used and available storage on the sd card when i click into it

I just want to say that as of July 2022, I researched several videos and have been trying to break this phone that I bought from Goodwill 2 years ago. After coming to this video I thought that it would not work. It worked with a few hiccups but I mean you just think on what to try. To get around the update just scroll down and click on the join the community link and it takes you directly to google. Then from there you just follow along and everything goes great. Be sure to accept that you are the one accessing you google account. Everything works great and I will be saving you website for any future use if I end up with something google locked. I thank you so much you are awesome!

I have bypassed 4 phones in the past without any problems. It never took more than an hour. With this phone i spend DAYS not hours with no luck. On my zte300 I could not back page after setting the wifi on. (Must be a recent attempt at fixing the software) I just played with it and came up with a whole new way to bypass frp. It seems it did everything except the last step and didn't copy from my other device. Now it says the account is already added, but says "not signed in" but won't bring up a Google sign in anymore. I restarted the device, changed nothing and it worked. Very weird. But salute man, your video was the only one or of 50 that worked. Plus no one has these old phones anymore, I decided to use this one to take pictures at job sites, but what a headache. Now androids are becoming more like iphones (headache wise).

Followed the steps till the end, after all set it says adding finishing touches and then it fails. it won't let me get to home screen. "Error Not Signed In .. To use this phone you first have to sign in to owner's google account in use on this phone when it was last reset". help!!!!
Reset it by the recovery and try using another Google account

i did all the steps to unlock it and i was getting the couldnt finish setup because it wanted me to enter in the google info of the account when it was reset.. ive been playing with it for hours and i ended up unlocking it. after downloading quick shortcut maker i used that to get to the launcher and from there i went in and went to the apps and went to google play services and deleted all the data. then i unchecked the device administrator for find my device(not sure if that even matters). Then I installed the google play services then the launch google settings. I did the copy google account from my second device then after that i reset the phone and continued setup as new device. went through with no problems and is now unlocked. hope this helps

I had the same problem. Just run the installer for the APK again and tap open.

Just wanted to say thanks... I've had an old ZTE tracfone wasting away in a drawer, and all I wanted to use it for was run some music apps. Even though this process felt like jumping through seven hoops of fire (not counting the five times I had to start over with a hard reset because I messed something up), I finally got through it and kicked the old, lost Google account out of the way and now the phone is actually useful again !!

It worked. I tried synching with one LG phone, but it failed. I used another one and it succeeded in transferring data. I then did a factory reset and it's no longer Google locked. Thanks for making this video.

On a "ZTE BLADE A521" I couldn't enable TalkBack but instead got access to Chrome by holding the home button until the Google app launched and then searched "RUclips Google", went in there and then to their About section and carried on with your video's instructions. Cheers!

HELP... I let my now X use my ZTE phone and he factory reset it. And then put his info in it. Well now I have my phone back and I can't do anything with it because every time I factory reset it again it's asking you for his info. I want my phone back in working order. Any ideas on how I can do this? I tried to follow your video but got lost.... the phone in question is a ZTE blade Z Max from Boost Mobile. It's not hooked up to a carrier I turned off the service I'm not going to turn the service back on unless I can get the phone to work. So I'm running it through my home Wi-Fi. I get all the way up to where it connects to the Wi-Fi and then it says checking info and it wants his information it said this device was synced put in the email and password previously synced to the phone. That's his information for so I don't know it and I'm not going to Ask him because I want the phone to being back in my information I don't even know how he got it to being his info in the first place. He's really smart when it comes to these kinds of things I'm not what you call a hundred percent tech savvy. So please help??!!🙏🙏🙏🙏

Yes, I have the February security patch as well and it did not work. At the very last step it says the phone has not been set up with an email and takes me back
I just did it on Oct 15th on a zte z300 w/7.1.1. Worked perfect.

May 2nd, 2020. This method STILL WORKS. However. It will ask you for “previous owners information.” As Latrell said, just reset the phone and it will bypass that setting as well! Thank you so much for the video it worked perfectly!

I back all the way out to the Welcome screen>LET'S GO>Select WiFi Network>Add as New>Accounts Added to >Getting account info>Protect your phone>Meet Your Google Assistant>Anything Else>All Set> Accelerated Location>Not Signed In>Set up phone>Welcome to your Z557BL Copy your data (only option) and it loops from there no matter what options I choose
I'd try restarting your phone. Sounds simple but it works.

OMG This worked 10.29.18/7.1.1. I have so many Blades that were collecting dust, now i can used them. For the people getting the message about "not having signed in with the owners email" just hold the power button and restart the phone, once it comes back on, just press copy data, and sign in again. Thank you sir.

This still works. If you don't have the original email then there are a couple extra steps to follow.
broo I love you, it worked, not the same way as you because I never could made the browser open so I download the apps on a sd card and open it from the phone which was kinda tricky but it worked, thanks for everything
Okay I am going to try this method. Though I am thinking about inserting SD card restarting the phone and going to factory data reset/reboot option and VOL key down to "apply from SD CARD". Fingers crossed hope it works I'll let y'all know.

You are The Truth! This is the only method that is a permanent solution to frp locked Zte Android 7.1 phones. Tested on ZTE Blade Zmax MetroPCS Z982, ZTE Max XL Boostmobile, ZTE Axon 7 Mini, Alcatel A30 MetroPCS 5049Z, LG Google Nexus and probably more to come.

THANKS! This worked for me but I had 2 phone glitches: Talkback features came on at some point, but was silent. Had to hit back button once, then a double tap to go back. At end, my gmail accounts were added, but I was unable to get in phone repeatedly. I opted to open new Microsoft/Hotmail account (total pain having to single, then double tap everything) Bingo! That got me into normal phone & THEN showed my gmail accts too. After, I could pull dropdown menu with *2* fingers to turn off TALKBACK, thank god

When you get the message that you can't or don't have access just turned off and do it the setting again ( not the factory reset ) just restart it and the talk bak its going to activate by default but the good thing is the it's done the you can remove or set it up as a new phone.... best luck to everyone. .

I just thought of something that may solve everyones problem with the final moments resulting in failure. So, at the screen where it shows that your account has been successfully added to the device, Try pulling the power from the router that both phones are connected to. This may allow you to bypass the connection to Googles account services to verify, simply because the device previously believed that the correct account was added. Worth a shot at this point.

As of 12/5/19, doesn't work for me either. I get through EVERYTHING successfully, until it's almost done, and then it says, "To use this phone, you first have to sign in to an owner's Google Account in use on this phone when i was last reset. Because you haven't done so, you have to set up the phone again." And then brings you right back to square one.
Just 'cause I'm sure someone will say "HURR DURR UR TRYING TO USE A PHONE U STOLE FROM SOMEONE"... My buddy gave this to me, as it was given to him basically as collateral, and the guy who gave it to him disappeared. Tbh I'm just trying to get it working to give to my dad so he can have something better than what he's got now - I don't need it, I'm rocking a OnePlus 6T and I LOVE it. lol
