CBT training came in after id sat my old full bike test years ago, just wondering if chain maintenance, tyre pressure etc could be incorporated into the training
It is on cbt, not exactly how to do it but to do all the checks on the chain and where to find chain tension specs, it probably should be more in depth though
@@Ridingreviews also it doesn't say what the torque for the axle nuts are in the manual or the website .. How did you come up with 54 n/m? Also have a speedy recovery mate, cheers
Hi Chris, good video with lots of tips. We have a lexmoto hunter 50cc. On the bike it say 15mm (1 in) free stoke??? “mm/in”??? Nothing in owner 3 pages book. What free play should the hunter have and what is the right axle bolts nm? How often do you recommend cleaning and lubing the chain. Cheers chris
so the 15 mm isn't set in stone you just have to make sure it ins't a banjo string (to tight ) the axel i don't know exactly for the hunter but the Honda ss50 is 60 nm toque and the hunter has the same size bolt so it should be the same
So are you saying I should be around 15 mm. when I got it from new the chain was VERY tight, no play. It’s had a service and I’m getting 35 mm play I think it’s looks a bit loose. I’m just starting my adventure on bikes so any help I would appreciate. Thanks again

Hi Chris. I found this video to be very informative and very useful. The chain slack of the bike in the video was shocking. I do hope, for the owners sake, your advice is taken onboard. I have a question for you relating to torque. I am a superlight owner, the torque value for the rear axle is listed as 105 Nm. The bike in the video is being set to 54 Nm of torque or is it in ft/lb?. I was expecting the torque values to be roughly the same. Could you please advise?
Great video Chris. I'm not very knowledgeable on mechanics I'm afraid apart from the very simple stuff so this was a good lesson on looking after your chain. It sounds like that bike was an accident waiting to happen. Putting air in the tyres is a quick simple job and it makes no sense to not at least do that.
at least you are interested. at least you can see the benefits, both of a monetary value because you not wearing stuff out, and of the safety aspect. you value your health.
Hi does anyone know what the tire pressure should be, when u do a google search it comes up with random numbers and about 10 different ones at that haha. Heeeeeelp.
Thanks for the video. I have a question. Where did you get that paddock stand from?

Just a quick one. Whats the size of the nut that's on the locking nut for the axle? Cheers
24 mm both sides

Is 54nm on the torque wrench the same for an Isca?! Couldn't find torque specs in the manual... Thnx
yes that will be fine 54 is the same as on a Honda cbr 125 as well

Hi Chris, if i tried this myself how can i make sure that the rear wheel is in line when i tighten all the nuts up please?

What if the chain is too tight? Just the reverse of what you did there?
Yes, it is the same, but if it has gone tight, you need to find out why it could be the chain needs lube or the rear wheel is lose
