- High in the mountains, in Sognefjorden, lies Norway’s previously largest specialist hospital.
Luster Sanatorium. With the rise of tuberculosis in Norway in the 1900’s, it was reported that 6000-7000 people died annualy from this contagious lung disease with little chance of survival.
Luster and many other sanitoriums quickly become known as the waiting room for death.
But this sanitorium also became known for something completly diffrent as well; The horror movie “Villmark 2”. Today we venture inside to find out what still remains of such a dreadful time.

Hey! I have not been to Harastølen for a long time. Have they started the construction work or does it still stay the same? And how difficult is it to explore the inside? Love the video!
Hey! Sorry for a late reply! Yes, they have started renovations. It is really slow though. I would checkout Harastølen Hotel on Facebook for updates around the renovation. There is apparently cameras and sensors inside as well. Not sure how true that is
@@UrbexNic Thanks for the reply! I went there about two weeks ago. Went through almost the whole building, but we didn’t see any cameras or sensors inside. They have fixed most of the floors that started to get sketchy :)
