Dancing is a crucial part of my life, it feels like taking a good shower, it is cleansing and healing. I am a filmmaker (My films are about human traumas, memory, reconciliation, healing, environment, human and animal rights...); filmmaking, dancing and singing are therapy to me! I am so thankful for being free and able to dance! The women (and sometimes men) in my country Iran, and in some other places lose their lives, get punished, imprisoned or hurt for dancing or for singing, these beautiful basic acts that are a natural ancient part of human-kind...so I appreciate every opportunity that I can dance and wish that one day soon we all can dance and sing freely without any kind of fear everywhere around the world!
