I think it’s worth mentioning that Texas and Tennessee followed suit behind Auburn in offering Javion Cole. Maybe I’m reading into it too much, but to me that is an indication that other SEC coaching staffs believe a player is worth recruiting if Auburn is in on him. Ask yourself, how often did other SEC schools get involved in one of Auburn’s recruitments under Harsin? The future is bright, folks!

We need some big men who can defend and bang score mid range 6’8”to 6’10”

I thoroughly enjoy the sunshine. If it’s a transfer and we want him that means he’s a stud. If he actually chooses auburn then he’s an all American stud. Just forget about Thorne, hooks, shorter, mardener.

Except that in this case, I spoke to somebody that covers the University of Arizona whose head coach had this kid last year. I think he knows a lot about him and he gave him a high evaluation. Straight from the horses mouth so to speak. Maybe it’s just me, but I tend to trust the opinion of a current D1 power four head coach.

@@darrelldapprich5060i think that’s smart but I’ve seen it happen too many times where some kid is really good at one school then they get to auburn and they aren’t that good for us. I’m cynical. I come here strictly for the optimism. I personally don’t think we have added any difference makers this offseason except Coleman so I come here to give me a little bit of sunshine and optimism. I think the left tackle we added is a huge liability. He looked terrible at a A day. I’m hoping I’m wrong and all the guys we added are studs who make a difference.

The left tackle needs some conditioning this off-season but as long as he isn't drawing 3 flags every game, some of them nullifying key plays, then I think he will be an upgrade on that alone.
So you don't think Robert Lewis looked like a contributor based on A-day? I thought he looked pretty good. That trio of busts from last year weren't looking that good early. I think even Sam Jackson has the potential to contribute more than any of those 3 transfers from last year.

@@pickescoh it’s much more than just conditioning. Go watch the first quarter of A day. He wasn’t tired in the first quarter. He’s just not any good. He’s big and slow without much bend. His first step is dreadful. I feel sorry for Thorne. I see many backside sacks coming this year.

Although guys on campus can’t transfer right now, incoming freshman who’ve yet to enroll can ask out of their NLI and look for a new school. Attrition can still happen and shake up the roster.
