Some Networkers had their regenerative braking turned on back in the late 90s. When visiting relatives in London back then you could clearly hear that it was active (465s).
They only creak when coupled, proved here when 465919 wasnt coupled to any other unit. Some 465s are just seriously bad but I guess here shows that coupling has something to do with it - ruclips.net/video/LaHYKnPDhc4/видео.htmlsi=qGnqk9sii2V6M96L
Idk if regen has been disabled on 919 but I went on it today on the Bromley north line, it was having severe problems with the motors and the motors wouldn’t sound when accelerating or de-accelerating so it may or may not have been disabled

part 1 of the pigeons adventure of the class 465
They should turn all the regenerative back on all of these trains
They sound like the great northern class 365
Saw 919 on the Orpington line today on 2F17
Also, i dont know what was on with 919 regen it always randomly turned off
Ah so its had it for quite a while then!
WTF is wrong with these units? It's like half of them are nice and half of them creak obsessively like their life depends on it

@@jr-jadenrailways8032 So that was a 4 car train - just 465919?
@@Solomon_C yeah, you can check the vid the departure is towards the end
When I was on 919 it was sandwiched between a 466 and a BREL 465 as seen at the end and creaked... interesting
@@awesometrainsandbuses seems to only creak when coupled
After I come back from holiday I’m gonna hunt for this unit
Be careful, at anytime they can disable the regen, it has already been disabled on coach 65718

It did stop at London Bridge

@@Westlondontransportguy7045 that's the wall beside the track, the platform is on the other side of the train

Hi what's the difference between normal breaking and regen breaking?
With regen braking, you can hear the motors as it comes to a stop. Normal braking on 465s is silent as it comes to a stop
@@awesometrainsandbuses thank you
@@awesometrainsandbuses No, normally 465s have regen
@@Solomon_CI'm referring to the Met Cams, not the BREL units
@@awesometrainsandbuses Oh OK you just said "465" in a general sense so I assumed you meant all 465s
