There are thousands of videos of people catching fish but rarely do they discuss the system their using such as the rod weight/length , leader/tippet flies and hatches those are the things for me that would make your video much more informative. Love the Walker nice to see fishing well.
I so worry about the East and West Walker fisheries right now. La Nina has been very hard on our region. I do want you to get to 1M though. Is there anyone else out there having these thoughts: So now, at this point in my life, I have decided that fly fishing is my favorite thing. But planetary warming is making it harder...headed toward depressing. Don't get me wrong, I get the giggles every time I catch a trout on my fly rod. But when I get home, where it is 106 today and smoke pouring in from the latest Mega fire 270 miles away, watching these videos makes me both inspired and troubled. Like a bridge...over waters...
One of my favorite rivers to fish. I especially like the stretch you were working. Some of the nicest Browns I’ve gotten were a few turns of the river below . Thanks for the share
Nice to see that the East Walker is coming back to its former self so quickly after the low water year a few years ago that killed so many fish. May have to head up there this fall to check it out myself. Thanks for the video
Wow you caught some nice fish! That bow in the net was sick! Sierra Drifters taught me to fly fish a long time ago. Great experience. I'm debating East Walker or Hot Creek tomorrow....this has me thinking East Walker! You asked for feedback on your videos...I've been a professional tv editor for 25 years. I think your videos would play a bit better playing the sound from the GoPro or the microphone on you along with the music...the audience will feel more in the moment with you. You can dip in and out of sound with the music, but I want to hear your emotions when you set the hook, or lose one, or slip on a rock and get wet. It let's me be fishing with you. More of your own commentary too. Just own it. Pick any damn music you want, they're your videos. Just my two cents...hope I didn't offend. I just got a GoPro and may do a few videos of my own. Btw, that golden at the end is sick!!! Happy hunting!
RUclips site is Rujay. They post a lot of music tracks. If you find one you like you can convert it to mp3 using free software on the internet by typing "convert youtube video to mp3".
@@solitaryflyangler1168 Thank you. I have found free music on youtube, too. I will look into Rujay. Your voice, is so clear at the very beginning of the video. Were you using a mic from the action cam? Thanks for the info.
Nice time out catching some fish on the East Walker. I had a good day the other week out there in the same spot you did: ruclips.net/video/yr4-kGlHj8c/видео.html
Fun video - sloppy technique - what happens when a real fish jumps thru one of those loops in your line hanging downstream or one of those loops wraps around a snag just before the fish of the trip makes a run?
Thanks for sharing this. Brings back great memories as my office was in Bridgeport and when I could get away for a little while, East Walker was one of my favorite places to fish.
Very nice! I've fished the EWR all my life. Thank you for posting, I enjoyed this.

Nice video. The audio at the beginning is amazing. What were you using for that? Next time I am on the Ewalker, I will fish the Mile. Thanks again.

Yes. Using a Zoom F1 field mic. Unfortunately GoPros suck for audio. Hopefully the new Hero 8 shotgun mic will be better.
@@solitaryflyangler1168 thanks. It's amazing how good it is. I will search for this. Thanks again.
