It’s so emotional and humbling for these guys to appreciate each other and also mind boggling to hear them say they can’t believe they’re here especially when it’s your favorite player whose in 75
I was 10 when the 50 team was displayed in 97 It was insane seeing all those OGs at that ceremony 🔥🔥... This was was even more awesome because I've seen majority of these players in Their primes 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Wish Kobe was there man, he inspired so many of the players in the league & the young generation simply adores him. Gonna be saying Kobe every time I shoot till I die 🐍
Phil Jackson said one difference between MJ and Kobe was that when the game was over, Kobe was done. His juices stopped flowing. MJ on the other hand, had to beat you to the showers, beat you to the bus. He'd pay the baggage handlers at the airport money for his bags to come out first and then he'd lure his teammates into betting who's would come out first lol. MJ was savage man. Always competitive and now hopefully he's been able to scale all that back.
I can't help but smile throughout the video seeing all these legends. Wished Kobe were still alive to be in the midst of the other greats. RIP Mamba, much love.
The scary thing is that for the NBA 100 all those 70 and older are going to be gone sadly. Just the cycle of life so enjoy the older legends out there you see.
I remember the Top 50 at 50 and damn how the years go by quickly. That was incredible to see the new crop of young guns together with the legends of the game. It would've been great to see guys like Larry Bird, Cousy and Bill Russell there. Of course it would've also been special to see Kobe and other giants like Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain and Sam Jones.
Very cool. Cleveland was a great host city for this special all star weekend. The legends and younger studs were all so respectful. Perfectly handled. Now all the NBA has to do is figure out how to make the slam dunk completion as intriguing as it once was, and we be all good!!
It’s amazing how so many greats that came before MJ and witnessed his play, whether on TV or in person, agreed on him being the best player ever. All the player who looked up to Michael only furthered the legend and the awe of his skillset

I feel like this is an unprecedented get together of sheer greatness. Has there ever been so much Basketball talent assembled in one room like this before? Can’t imagine how daunting it would be to walk into a room with legends like Kareem, Dr J, Hakeem etc.

If you consider the number of players who have been all star at least once, but not in the top 25 modern era, minus the top 50 earlier, those top 25 are royalty. Some of them don't deserve it, and those are the margin just missed it. Such a fine line between being great and very very good.
I agree 👍. .. They'll get inducted next, in the NBA Top 100 list, if they keep playing the way they are now. Along with Morant, Tatum, Trae, LaMelo , Donovan, Embiid and company.
