Interesting at around the three minute mark you see motorists and pedestrians treating zebra crossings the way they legally are, that motorists have the right of way and pedestrians wait for a gap and then cross. Only when already crossing do cars have to give way. Today it has become the norm that if a pedestrian even looks like they want to cross cars will stop and let them. In this video we see pedestrians wait at the crossing while cars carry on driving past.
It's actually due to a Highway Code change last year. The 2022 Highway Code Rule H2 says that if pedestrians have started crossing the road and drivers want to turn into the road, pedestrians crossing have priority, and the traffic should give way to them.
