I thought "State of the Onion" was established as the name of the annual meeting to service PERL, which they have been doing since 1987. Let me put that slightly differently: "State of the Onion" is the established name of the annual meeting to service PERL, and has been since 1987 or maybe 88.
I doubt that anybody will make any "legal objections," but you owe Larry Wall an apology for treading on his good joke and for taking over his annual meeting's name.
I've just Googled it up, and after PERL 6 they are planning to change their name to Raku for some reason. More likely, given the overall style, for no reason.
Net net, it looks to me as though you've just blundered into using what you thought was a very clever name, Onion, union har-har-harr. And TOR uses an onion, get it? See, so it's like onion and union, see, 'cause if you pronounced it un-ion then onion and union would sound the same, see? Even if we don't have any union here, but well. Well, uh, I thought it was funny. And I didn't know it was really old, an'.
