1:30 In 2012 touchscreens were extremally rare in airliners.
And the guards on the switches are to prevent throwing the switches by accident in zero gravity.
many airliners in service still dont have any touchscreens
now the space x dragon capsule is nearly full touchscreens
His accent is hilarious to listen to - it's a great mix of American and British. Great stuff
Cool!
Sally Ride would be proud:)
Why was part of the readout blurred out @ 1:33?
All that space! Relative to the Apollo missions, that is. Or to the Orion capsule, for that matter. I hope no one’s planning to send anyone to Mars in the Orion capsule… 😮
they are not going to send people only in the orion capsule. there is going to be a living quarter that will either be ditched once they come back or kept in space for reuse.
The FFT is now at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. On weekends, you can tour the inside, which is as close as anyone will now ever get to standing inside a real orbiter: www.museumofflight.org/spacecraft/nasa-full-fuselage-trainer
