The US Soap Opera Guiding Light was in the same Boat. Natalia Rivera & Olivia Spencer who live din a Farmhouse together did their "Shopping" at The Convenience Store. What was so funny is that they had to change the Names of Products. This was because The Show was sponsored Proctor & Gamble and they couldn't put Products that weren't part of their Roster ie Mr. Clean, Ivory Soap, Comet, Gilette Razor Blades etc.
