- After the World War 1 (1914-1918) and Greece-Turkey war (1919-1922) a large population displacement happened in the 1920s. Around 1,500,000 Greek Christians living in Turkey were forced to migrate to Greece. The same thing happened with almost 500,000 Muslims living in Greece. Yaqoob is one of the descendants of those Greek people. I shared the story of the India-Pakistan partition with him. When in the last , you said “ duniya inhi logon ki wajah se toh khoobsurat lagti hai “. It was so deep and beautiful feeling.We become sad ,so many things go in our mind like a storm.We feel tired,lost and what not..But when you experience such people,places, you only remember good things,happened to you,more hopeful,and so so willing to try every new opportunity .Buri baatein toh mano itni choti lagti hai ki,pata hi Nahi chalta ki humne kab experience kiya,kab hum uss bure daur se nikal gaye.I guess we should be more grateful for the things while we are living them,than to remember them in throwback memories. 6:40 Greek Christians used to be residents here, they were deported from here to Greece and Greek Turk Muslims were deported from Greece to Turkiye as per a treaty signed by both countries in 1923.
But now there's so many Muslim in Greece but so small fraction of Christian in turkiye

The only difference between Turkey-Greece and India-Pakistan partition is that in the case of former it was an almost complete population exchange but in the latter case Hindus gave Muslims the option to stay back if they wanted to and hence it was only a one sided partial population exchange.

You are right about Byzantine Empire. It had present Turkey,Syria , Lebanon and part of Jordan included in it. Hagia Sophia in Istanbul is also basically a Chuch converted into Mosque.
