    • @miaknig3130

He thinks he is in his grandparents village where women are submissive and are the property of men. Ana was supposed to learn to "behave" when Ali made her live w his mother in VA the month prior. She had her daughter w her the whole time while Ali amped up the partying in CA. That was the reason for the acrimonious remark re: Amira.

@@miaknig3130 Exactly, that's how I understood that comment too.
This guy is trying to paint Ana as this horrendous person, but his escalating jealousy, control and attempts at manipulation, are what led to this and meanwhile he was being unfaithful and using substances as well. And, how is any of this a reason to just go and shoot her and her friend in the head? Just get a divorce, like other people do!
He doesn't show any real remorse and the fact that he had started recording Anna, before he riled her up each time, shows some premeditation too imo. That along with the fact that he placed the listening device in his daughter's iPad?

I’ve been following this case for a while. But these are my thoughts: Ali could have a really amazing life, if he would have taken the time out for solitude. He was extremely co-dependent on her for validation. He could have taken his energy, his comedic sketches on RUclips annd TikTok and moved forward, creating an amazing career and maybe new love and community.. but he was stuck in a dark place and let his rage take over completely. A lot of couples are overemeshed and co-dependent like this and it’s incredibly toxic. In order for a healthy relationship to work, both people need to love themselves authentically. Ali covered his wounds with a mask of narcissism instead of radiating from within. . He never took the time for self-development, until probably now in prison where he has a lot of time to think about himself. I’ve had toxic relationships, and have fortunately grown… I’ve taken my wounds and I’ve healed them. I do not let rage get the best of me. In a better world, Ali would be on to great things, and Ana could move on and develop a life for herself without him and still co-parent Amira. My heart goes out to Amira and Ray. Ray Barron was innocent in this whole thing… And Amira didn’t deserve This. I also don’t think Ana deserved this…She tried her best at the time with what she was given. Everyone deserves second chances in life, not having their life taken. In that video, I don’t think she meant what she said about Amira… she was under the influence. RIP to these souls, and may Amira go on to live a wonderful abundant and prosperous life filled with JOY.

@MsJanetWood Yup! It's reactive abuse and also a defense mechanism to try and get him to disengage. After so much time under your abuser's control you feel powerless...the constant gaslighting and manipulation erodes you, not to mention he owned a gun and physically beat her so there was always a risk to her and her daughter's life.
Something people seem to be missing is that for Ana to finally move on and leave him, that meant that she reached a point where she was fully fed up with his abuse. At that point its like a lightbulb goes off and so much buried anger and resentment bubbles to the surface as you teflect on how you stayed with this person and how you let them destroy you. That can be a lot to process, especially when you're actively still dealing with abuse trying to leave, and sometimes you say things you don't mean in an argument with your abuser (like what Ana said about her daughter) so that they can't hold it over your head.
Ana spent YEARS with his abuse - she probably was a shell of who she was before she met him leading up to her death. But her actions of never leaving Amira with him after he hit her show that she DID want her. I really don't think it's fair to say she's just as bad as him when we're seeing footage of her after years and years of abuse. Reactive abuse is a real thing.

That’s what I’ve been saying about the different levels of homicide and their penalties.
As to the K-1 visa. It is feasible that even if Ana could not proceed to renew her green card due to a divorce from Ali, then she could have returned to the Philippines 🇵🇭 and relied on Ray to apply for a K-1 visa for her.
That has apparently been her MO for a long time. She initially wanted Shawn Torres to do it, but when he was discharged back to California, he left her. Ali was the next guy she counted on for that. Ray could have been a third.
She also had a (I believe US-born daughter) and so, that would have helped her find a way to stay on US soil if she could show that Ali was too dangerous.

She provoked this even though no one "deserves" to be un-alived. They both were bad humans evidently so I don't know why you all are ganging up on this guy as being so bad. That's why there is laws pertaining to crimes of passion. I'm not saying he's a good person or should have committed murder of course, but she deserves some blame too. And I am one to never speak like this especially of the passed ones, but you all are being the typical crowd bullies and following the crowd only judging him. @@AllieBFromTN I wasn't justifying murder. I said that if you had read my whole comment. I would never justify murder. But, she did things to possibly drive him into a certain state of mind, plus evidently there were drugs involved, which affects their mindset. But yeah, whether you like to admit it or not, one's actions and behavior can cause another person to commit actions towards you or have a certain mindset. Not the same as "push somebody into a corner and they might jump back at you", but people can be pushed to do something. Maybe something to think about. Maybe she shouldn't have trashed and verbally disowned their daughter right in front of the daughter herself and the father. And maybe she shouldn't have potentially cheated on her hubby and had the guy(s) inside their own home. Those two things together probably destroyed this guy inside and drove him over the edge. Again, I'm not justifying it, but stating how it could affect someone. Maybe we should ask you, would you treat your kid and man like that...? Maybe you should do some thinking. If you can't see how that might affect someone who is already in a toxic relationship and apparently trying to mend it, according to him, I can't help you. All people are different and have different thresholds, and it seems she poked the wrong bear. As far as the guy, he should have known better than to assist a married woman to cheat on her husband in their own home, allegedly, because in fact this sometimes is the outcome. If they were doing this, again that's why there is "crimes of passion". It's a fact, it's not me making the laws. Maybe he should have waited for her to be single or slept with a different girl who didn't have a husband, and especially shouldn't have been in their married home. Seems like he poked the wrong bear too. Don't like what I'm saying, maybe your morals are suspect too.
Edit : I do want to mention that I specifically remember the part of his testifying when he slipped up and said he "wouldn't hit her (in public)". He accidentally admitted he hit and abused her. And I think that is despicable and disgusting, for any man to hit any woman. I despise it, I despise bullies, and in the past I would bully the bullies. No woman ever deserves to be abused by a man, ever. So please understand how I feel about that. And I easily saw him slip up and admit it, which is why his lawyer then had him make it known he did that, just not in public. I think he's a weak punk for putting his hands on her, there's no reason to justify that. Even if she hit him, then he should have just left her completely if that were the case as an example. It sounds like he just hit her or got rough with her out of his anger and /or drugs. So understand I see him for what he is regarding that, I don't care how nice and sophisticated he tried to seem on the stand. And that may be another one of those cases where these girls in an abusive relationship seem to often stay in it instead of leaving for safety and it usually ends in a bad way. As did this one.

This was a VERY toxic relationship where it ended terribly wrong. At minute 12:30-12:35 you can see the both arguing and how they talk to each other and you can tell Ana was no victim either. She, I’m sure wanted to move on to another man (Ray), and she wasn’t into her husband anymore and wanted a different life, even ADMITTING here not wanting the burden of her poor little girl. So while, again, this guy should have NEVER reached that level of killing two people, she did aide in provoking, she was also doing lots of partying and cocaine, and she was having a relationship with another man while STILL married. She didn’t just want a divorce. She wanted a divorce from a physically abusive, obsessive, murderous coke head. There’s no “e-z” divorce strategy with a young child and a psychotic husband obsessing over you with paranoid ideations of your sexual life while he frequents sex workers and cheats frequently.
Anna was not EVER going to be able to leave Ali in a low effort ez divorce that you’ve referenced.
      Lucky women you must know.
Anna was not one of the ez divorced ppl that you know.

His father and sisters didnt care about his pov and neither do we. Classic abuser syndrome...look what she made me do 😒 waste of time this whole case. He still doesn't get it. People can say anything to you that doesn't make it alright to take it physical.

Maybe he and Ms. Clenney should be friends. That way if they both get out of prison when they’re 90 years old, they can hook up, fight, and make videos.
