I was so excited when this video came up in my RUclips feed! I found this painting on google under impressionistic barns earlier this year. I fell in love with the colors and the way it was so beautifully blended. I used it as a reference to paint it in acrylics! NOW I know how you blended it so well. Painting in acrylics is hard for me but I wanted a challenge. I think it turned out beautiful ❤ I have now purchased pastels and have been enjoying the new medium. I guess all my searching has brought me all the way back to you! Thank you for sharing!
As a newbie, it was fascinating for me to see you problem solving and experimenting as you progressed through the painting, very much appreciate your detailed explanations, tips and tricks, thanks so much, Bethany.
I have one of your beautiful gems framed nicely and in a place where I see it every day to inspire me and where everyone who enters our home can also enjoy seeing your art. One of my best purchases ever in my life! Wishing you all the best always, and always grateful for instruction and inspiration and encouragement you have given me.
I tried the alcohol washing, but wow did the paper warp and wave. I used very little too- can't remeber what paper, but it wasn't very thick, not like card stock- any ideas how to avoid wrinkling?
Hi Bethany, love your work and instruction. I’ve had difficulty finding a downloadable Refernce photo for the subject you are teaching . Would you mind pointing me to the source of your reference images . Thanks so much and I’m happy to be a Patreon subscriber.
You're right; that soft yellow sky illuminated the painting!
I am so afraid of the darks..but you need them to showcase the Light. Life lesson in art ♥️
Thank-you so much Bethany!
such a gorgeous painting. Thanks Bethany.

Thank you Xxx
Amazing. You have a gentle, light touch with the pastel initially for the underpainting, don't you? Your work is incredible!
Thank you so much 😀

You need to use the correct paper to avoid the warping. I used Uart Sanded papers in this piece!
@@BethanyFields Thanks-
