We had this when I was growing up in the seventies in SriLanka! It was a deeper walnut finish though! My father had to import it all the way from Germany at the time after getting a permit from the Government and we did not even have FM until the mid eighties!! The record changer could take 6 LPs on the spindle. I would buy it but I now live in Melbourne in Australia and it must have been sold already!! Beautiful job in restoring it! Looks pretty original now!

Hi! Have the same but little newer, the start button on turn table is not reacting and is not fixing after pressed. How to disassemble the turntable and do you know how the button works?

Hi Edward, I have one of these and would like to clean the band selector switches. Any clue to how I would clean them? It will be much appreciated. Can you offer me any advice on such matters of maintenance?

On the all transistor chassis like this one then with the power off you can just spray with contact cleaner, work the switches a bit and it once dry it should be fine... However it's not all that simple on the tube/valve chassis as using contact cleaner can cause tracking and aching on the pins in the switch banks, (I have had this happen) For the tube/valve chassis you need to flush out any applied contact cleaner and wait for it to be completely dry! any residue can cause arching and tracking on the switches this is because of the higher voltages on the pins in the switches on the tube/valve chassis
