I had two sources who were in the room with Erik and Lyle the day they were reunited in April 2018. One was Lyle himself and the other was Anerae Brown - the rapper X-Raided who was released from RJD in Sept. 2018. Lyle called me shortly after the reunion and I was able to put him on speaker phone and share his story with his Aunt Marta Cano who I was visiting in Florida. Aunt Marta and I were both very happy to hear the details. The first day he called, Lyle asked me to keep our conversation off the record. The next day, I received calls from Today and GMA. After getting permission from Lyle to reveal what he told us, Aunt Marta and I shot interviews with the two network TV shows. Not sure why it state Erik didn't cry when the brothers reunited. I've heard from Lyle as well as their best friend, an inmate who shares a cell with Lyle, that he was in the room when they reunited. He stated they hugged and cried saying to eachother, "finally".
Anyone can be lying but I bet more on Erik telling Tammi what she wants to hear, after all the jealousy and the fear of being replaced by Lyle is quite apparent. I think he doesn't imagine that she would go on the internet bragging he didn't cry.

Agreed, all I care about is the brothers. they were the ones who went through the darkest hours sometimes together, they were the ones who felt there was no other way out of the horrific nightmare they were living and ONLY they know really truly what went on&how it felt (no two lives of abuse are the same, u can empathise, sympathise&understand- to degrees- but it's something only they share).I rmbr this trial as a small kid ,although it seems like ytdy,&since lil kids are born without judgment they just trust what they see&feel, I rmbr asking my mam "mammy , why are they going to jail? I applaud Erik for defending and protecting his wife and family. It just shows how much of a good man he has grown to be and his maturity as well. I wish both brothers nothing but freedom and joy in living fulfilling lives.
I can’t even imagine what it would have been like for them to meet up again after 22 years. For the past 22 years before they reunited, they pretty much were in different environments and grew up as different adults. I imagine it probably did take some time to get used to each other again. I wish only the best for them.❤❤
Exactly they are men now Erik got therapy married twenty five years raised a daughter .Lyle I don't think still opened up fully two failed marriages dating a twenty one year old allegedly
His wife sounds like she is jealous of their relationship. She had Eric to herself for 20 years. She knows Eric depended on lyle all his life. She feels threatened knowing Lyle and Eric will be release soon she doesn’t want to share Eric with Lyle. She will try to put a wedge between these two brothers she has a dominant personality and so does Lyle. It will be interesting to know what happens when they get out 🤨
He knew that at the beginning it was going to be difficult. They grew up in prison and seeing each other again meant remembering their past. Luckily, now, after years, the relationship is good.

Like Erik said, there's no reason to live in a fairytale... They are brothers and nothing is ever going to change it, but they spent 22 years living their different lives. They turned adults, they changed a lot, etc. It demands time to reconnect all those aged feelings, to process new feelings. It doesn't mean that they don't love each other anymore, but also isn't a perfect relationship. People like to romanticize things. Now they are probably more connected.
The system is CRUEL! These brothers have been locked up way too long! They are GOOD people! They were young and defended themselves…no one was going to come to their rescue! How much of what they were experiencing could most people withstand? Yet how many are released waaaaaaayyy too soon without so called rehabilitation and are back on the streets doing more garbage. Well he had me when discussing the reunion between him and Lyle (I never once imagined it would be easy). He lost me though when he started mentioned 'my wife", seriously what had she got to do with any of this. I'm supporting both brothers for the children they were and for the abuse they endured.

I'm could see how his wife may have gotten him through the difficult times for the 22 years they were separated and won't there to have Each other's back and to encourage and uplift each other, especially Eric, who is the youngest one and at the time seemed to be more emotional. The way Tammy so vehemently stated that Eric didn't cry is kind of weird, but honestly I don't think it's something horrible or defiling about her relationship with Eric. I support both brothers as victims of abuse, I don't feel the same way about Tammy, but I have nothing against her and she seems like a nice woman (at least i think so). Okay in my opinion both brothers have their flaws and after 22 years apart i guess they would fight a bit because they grew as people and yes tammi is problematic but that doesnt mean that lyle and erik would never talk to each other again. Lyle said that they do stuff together in prison, which is great, and they still love each other after everything they've been through. Erik still blames himself for getting lyle arrested. You dont still have that blame after all those years from nothing.

Does anyone know why Erik doesn't have recent photos like Lyle? I'm not referring to the photos of his face in prison. I only saw one photo of him, it was far away and not clear, it seems to be the most recent photo.
Tammi doesn't want to cause extra attention. She even told Erik to stop talking to Rob and didn't even want him to do the documentary with Lyle since it's going to affect her.

I don't know about you, but Tammi doesn't give me a good feeling. I always try to convince myself that it's good, but I don't know... There is always something that makes me doubt. the fact that she NEVER expresses her public support for Lyle seems very strange to me, when Rebecca has always expressed her support for both equally. I hope that when they are released, Tammi doesn't try to separate Erik from Lyle in some way, it scares me and saddens me to think about that.

this was when they first reunited after 22 years. obviously there was going to be challenges but they seem to be close again now and erik spoke positively of their reunion in the netflix documentary. this account won't post something like that though because they care more about causing drama and fights in the comments section then actually supporting both brothers.

Not sure what to think of Tammi yet. I'm kinda in the middle. It is obvious that Erik searched out a "replacement" or someone to help him cope with prison once Lyle and him were separated. Also, as his wife she has more power on decision making on his behalf regarding prison. Erik did say in the 2020 interview the day before being separated that "its the last thing they can take away." I think he just handpicked someone from his thousands of letters and it was Tammi to be his new "something" to lean on. In some ways i understand that. He was suic*dal and needed something, someone. A lot of what he says here is common sense. There is no need to bash Tammi. She did sacrifice a lot to be with him. And for that i give her respect. As for the brothers relationship now, it's also expected to be rough. 22 years of never seeing or hear eachother's voices would take a toll on any bond. They are different people then they were back then. They had different paths in prison for 22 years and grown differently. The reconnection would be expected to be different and difficult. One thing i can say is it seems Lyle is far more patient, caring and forgiving in many ways. I feel Erik is placing his brother on a lower scale of importance in his life. (Tammi and daughter come first) Lyle is still the same regarding how important Erik is too him. Lyle moved to the same prison to be with Erik when the choice was given to him after years of repeatedly pleading for them to be together. He did this knowing he would be farther away from his wife at the time. Lyle chose his brother over his wife Rebecca and she supported it. Lyle's bond never changed from how i see it based on countless prison calls from both over the years on social media.

The brothers have changed so much, but even after all these years, Lyle is always here for his brother, amazing love and bond... And what's happening with Tammy and Eric, I'm a little confused, I can't understand among the mass of information what to believe at all, someone says that everything is fine with them, and someone is already hanging labels of mental disorders on both of them... I just hope that everything will be good with them, and that they both really love each other...
Some have to understand their lives were different Erik had more therapy he can talk openly about the abuse raised a daughter that charges a person Lyle had Rebecca but separated now

Both brothers received therapy in prison. This how Lyle became so open about his SA and now helps others in prison. Lyle has had the most complete healthy therapeutic change in that regard. Being the one who tried so hard to keep it a secret back then.

Well, he had me up to and including the reunion and difficulties involved between he and Lyle. After that nope. I support them for the damaged children that they were and for the abuse they endured. Their wives have nothing to do with that. When I hear him feeling the need to jump in to defend her I must admit I get nervous. It appears to be him replicating past patterns of abusive behaviours in an attempt to heal old injuries. I'm more concerned for him going forward (if released) than I am for Lyle. I'm also concerned that if only one is released which seems could happen, that if it were Erik, she'd discourage him supporting or visiting Lyle. I do hope first and foremost that they both get released together and secondly if not that I'm wrong and Erik at least supports Lyle (he could have walked away and left Erik to whatever fate decided - he gave up everything for him!)

Agree. I have never got a good feeling about her. Lyle is a very smart and observant person, and I think he sees some sort of ”red flags” and the manipulating side of Tammi. Maybe that’s why Lyle and Tammi don’t get along. She’s jealous of the brothers bond and in all her interviews she says she’s the only person Erik can trust and she even gave him a book on how to be a good husband. She never include Lyle when she posts stuff, neither does Talia. Rebecca ALWAYS include Erik, always.

tammi is stranger to lyle , I believe Erik should have found a way to publicly support both his wife and his brother. @ Honestly, Erik comes across as unstable and weak. He tends to blame others for his weaknesses, cling to stronger personalities, and then act carelessly once he feels secure. He even talks behind people’s backs. i think tammi is like that maybe erik told her something , i think erik blames his weakness on lyle because he will be shadow around him , but its not lyle fault , lyle only want to protect him . That’s all I can really say. On the other hand, Lyle is incredibly loyal and forgiving,he’ll make excuses for the people he loves, especially family. I had two sources who were in the room with Erik and Lyle the day they were reunited in April 2018. One was Lyle himself and the other was Anerae Brown - the rapper X-Raided who was released from RJD in Sept. 2018. Lyle called me shortly after the reunion and I was able to put him on speaker phone and share his story with his Aunt Marta Cano who I was visiting in Florida. Aunt Marta and I were both very happy to hear the details. The first day he called, Lyle asked me to keep our conversation off the record. The next day, I received calls from Today and GMA. After getting permission from Lyle to reveal what he told us, Aunt Marta and I shot interviews with the two network TV shows. Everything I said on TV and wrote in my book "The Menendez Murders" about the reunion came from two of the three people who were in the room. End of story. RR

But that doesn’t necessarily mean those words should be taken as the final version of events for public sharing.
Did Lyle fully trust you with how you would present his words publicly, or was he given the opportunity to review the final version of what you planned to share? Trusting someone with a personal story is one thing, but approving the exact way it’s shared with the world is another.
At the same time, whether Erik cried or not doesn’t change the significance of their reunion. However, it seems like, for Erik and Tammi, being precise and accurate about how their emotions are portrayed publicly matters a great deal. Tammi’s sharp response on Twitter suggests there’s either a lack of trust in how you presented Erik’s emotions or perhaps an attempt to control the narrative so people wouldn’t think Erik was truly happy about the reunion. But if that’s the case, why? What’s the intention behind that?

Not sure why it state Erik didn't cry when the brothers reunited. I've heard from Lyle as well as their best friend, an inmate who shares a cell with Lyle, that he was in the room when they reunited. He stated they hugged and cried saying to eachother, "finally".
I think even Robert Rand said they both cried and both hugged for a bit.

Agreed, all I care about is the brothers. they were the ones who went through the darkest hours sometimes together, they were the ones who felt there was no other way out of the horrific nightmare they were living and ONLY they know really truly what went on&how it felt (no two lives of abuse are the same, u can empathise, sympathise&understand- to degrees- but it's something only they share).I rmbr this trial as a small kid ,although it seems like ytdy,&since lil kids are born without judgment they just trust what they see&feel, I rmbr asking my mam "mammy , why are they going to jail? " bc I could see true pain in it's rawest form .I don't care what the wives say or book writers(they'll say ANYTHING to make more money) all I care about is that these two find a way bck to being close again after the system separated them for nearly a ¼ of a century just bc they could. I can’t even imagine what it would have been like for them to meet up again after 22 years. For the past 22 years before they reunited, they pretty much were in different environments and grew up as different adults. I imagine it probably did take some time to get used to each other again. His wife sounds like she is jealous of their relationship. She had Eric to herself for 20 years. She knows Eric depended on lyle all his life. She feels threatened knowing Lyle and Eric will be release soon she doesn’t want to share Eric with Lyle. She will try to put a wedge between these two brothers she has a dominant personality and so does Lyle. It will be interesting to know what happens when they get out 🤨

He knew that at the beginning it was going to be difficult. They grew up in prison and seeing each other again meant remembering their past. Luckily, now, after years, the relationship is good.

Like Erik said, there's no reason to live in a fairytale... They are brothers and nothing is ever going to change it, but they spent 22 years living their different lives. They turned adults, they changed a lot, etc. It demands time to reconnect all those aged feelings, to process new feelings. It doesn't mean that they don't love each other anymore, but also isn't a perfect relationship. People like to romanticize things. Now they are probably more connected.

Well he had me when discussing the reunion between him and Lyle (I never once imagined it would be easy). He lost me though when he started mentioned 'my wife", seriously what had she got to do with any of this. I'm supporting both brothers for the children they were and for the abuse they endured.

Okay in my opinion both brothers have their flaws and after 22 years apart i guess they would fight a bit because they grew as people and yes tammi is problematic but that doesnt mean that lyle and erik would never talk to each other again. You dont still have that blame after all those years from nothing.

I only saw one photo of him, it was far away and not clear, it seems to be the most recent photo.

I don't know about you, but Tammi doesn't give me a good feeling. I always try to convince myself that it's good, but I don't know... There is always something that makes me doubt. the fact that she NEVER expresses her public support for Lyle seems very strange to me, when Rebecca has always expressed her support for both equally. I hope that when they are released, Tammi doesn't try to separate Erik from Lyle in some way, it scares me and saddens me to think about that.

this was when they first reunited after 22 years. obviously there was going to be challenges but they seem to be close again now and erik spoke positively of their reunion in the netflix documentary. this account won't post something like that though because they care more about causing drama and fights in the comments section then actually supporting both brothers.

Not sure what to think of Tammi yet. I'm kinda in the middle. It is obvious that Erik searched out a "replacement" or someone to help him cope with prison once Lyle and him were separated. Also, as his wife she has more power on decision making on his behalf regarding prison. Erik did say in the 2020 interview the day before being separated that "its the last thing they can take away." I think he just handpicked someone from his thousands of letters and it was Tammi to be his new "something" to lean on. In some ways i understand that. He was suic*dal and needed something, someone. A lot of what he says here is common sense. There is no need to bash Tammi. She did sacrifice a lot to be with him. And for that i give her respect. As for the brothers relationship now, it's also expected to be rough. 22 years of never seeing or hear eachother's voices would take a toll on any bond. They are different people then they were back then. They had different paths in prison for 22 years and grown differently. The reconnection would be expected to be different and difficult. One thing i can say is it seems Lyle is far more patient, caring and forgiving in many ways. I feel Erik is placing his brother on a lower scale of importance in his life. (Tammi and daughter come first) Lyle is still the same regarding how important Erik is too him. Lyle moved to the same prison to be with Erik when the choice was given to him after years of repeatedly pleading for them to be together. He did this knowing he would be farther away from his wife at the time. Lyle chose his brother over his wife Rebecca and she supported it. Lyle's bond never changed from how i see it based on countless prison calls from both over the years on social media.

The brothers have changed so much, but even after all these years, Lyle is always here for his brother, amazing love and bond... And what's happening with Tammy and Eric, I'm a little confused, I can't understand among the mass of information what to believe at all, someone says that everything is fine with them, and someone is already hanging labels of mental disorders on both of them... I just hope that everything will be good with them, and that they both really love each other...
Some have to understand their lives were different Erik had more therapy he can talk openly about the abuse raised a daughter that charges a person Lyle had Rebecca but separated now

Both brothers received therapy in prison. This how Lyle became so open about his SA and now helps others in prison. Lyle has had the most complete healthy therapeutic change in that regard. Being the one who tried so hard to keep it a secret back then.

Well, he had me up to and including the reunion and difficulties involved between he and Lyle. After that nope. I support them for the damaged children that they were and for the abuse they endured. Their wives have nothing to do with that. When I hear him feeling the need to jump in to defend her I must admit I get nervous. It appears to be him replicating past patterns of abusive behaviours in an attempt to heal old injuries. I'm more concerned for him going forward (if released) than I am for Lyle.
I'm also concerned that if only one is released which seems could happen, that if it were Erik, she'd discourage him supporting or visiting Lyle. I do hope first and foremost that they both get released together and secondly if not that I'm wrong and Erik at least supports Lyle (he could have walked away and left Erik to whatever fate decided - he gave up everything for him!)

Agree. I have never got a good feeling about her. Lyle is a very smart and observant person, and I think he sees some sort of ”red flags” and the manipulating side of Tammi.
Maybe that’s why Lyle and Tammi don’t get along.

tammi is stranger to lyle , I believe Erik should have found a way to publicly support both his wife and his brother. Erik has never dismissed Lyle's struggles but Lyle has in the past they are fine now let's focus on their release not drama which is all some supporters focus on and yet people talk about discord or reddit but videos are bad too
@ Honestly, Erik comes across as unstable and weak. He tends to blame others for his weaknesses, cling to stronger personalities, and then act carelessly once he feels secure. He even talks behind people’s backs. i think tammi is like that maybe erik told her something , i think erik blames his weakness on lyle because he will be shadow around him , but its not lyle fault , lyle only want to protect him . That’s all I can really say. On the other hand, Lyle is incredibly loyal and forgiving,he’ll make excuses for the people he loves, especially family. Maybe it’s his way of protecting himself from further disappointment or pain.
