- In the video, we used our UG-1390L Co2 metal and non-metal Co2 laser engraving cutting machine, with Reci W6 130W Co2 laser tube & RuiDa living focusing system, which fine cutting ability is 1.5mm for carbon steel & stainless steel.
We tested 1.6mm and 1.8mm carbon steel in the video, with 5mm/s & 15mm/s speed, the cutting result is not good, has much slag, but all can cut through. - Наука

can this 130w co2 laser use for metal 3d printing ?
i mean can this laser sinter the powder stainless steel(any powdered metal) ?
This is CO2 laser. It can not be used for metal 3d printing.
Hi Upgoal cnc, at the start of the video on the control panel is in english, how to convert from chinesse to english. Thank you in advance
In the control panel there is such seetings. Please try to find
We recently got a 500w Co2 (China Acctek)for metal cutting and we are having the same issues. Have tried tons of differant speed, power and O2 settings but still getting the "burnt edges". Any chance you have a service tech that we could hire for some on site assistance?
Hello, pls contact with seller, :)
Are you have solution?
If you wanted to cut through 15mm thick steel, could this laser do it with enough passes, or are there focusing issues?
Yes, it can cut well for 1.5mm thickness
The laser would be unable to focus on the bottom, You may need to change the lens to a lens that focuses at a longer distance. However, you may succeed with an oxygen assist, as the oxygen assisted laser works similarly to a cutting torch, and the laser only initially melts the metal, and all of the cutting is performed by the exothermic reaction of the steel oxidizing. I was able to cut a piece of steel 6 inches thick with a cutting torch, I know that thicker is also possible.
Would an 80 watt co2 cut metal at all with oxygen assist?
I ended up making a vertical mounted 50w laser with air assist and z axis focus. I havent tested thick metals, but the 40w tube I had on it was cutting up to .005" steel. Long way from 15mm, but I may make a larger version if it can cut thicker stuff at 50w.
@@jaredbrandt9602 can you share how you built this?
Could this machine be used for welding metal of the same thickness?
Yes, it can
It can not be used for welding. There is machine fiber laser welder for welding purpose.
I have RECI W6 CO2 laser cutter, how do I add this? using regulator and Oxygen instead of Air? what nozzle do I need? any changes I can do?
99.999% cleanness Oxygen, 0.2 mm nozzle (not sure), you have to experiment the gas pressure, and better have an autofocus laserhead to clean cut.
Can it cut throught silver sheet like 0.5mm ??
No, could not cut silver
How much oxygen capacity needed for this process?
0.6-0.8Mpa air pressure
whats the power u set?
power around 80%-100%
How much for this head and tube

I appreciate if you could give me advice,
Can W4 laser power 100 W cut 0.5 mm or 1 mm thickness steel ?
Thanks
No, metal cutting needs 130W at minimum
can you show me your parametres?
In the video, not cut well for 1.6mm&1.8mm with 130W Co2 laser tube, which fine cutting ability is 1.5mm at maximum
@@UPGOALCNCMACHINERY becourse i use 150w laser
Where to buy?

this machine can cut carbon steel of 0.7mm?
Yes, 130W can cut
كم مم تقطع نحاس
why the edges not fine ?
because its maximum cutting ability is for 1.5mm thickness
There is slag on the edges, unlike the uncut steel, it is brittle, and should shatter leaving you with a clean edge if you hit it with a hammer.
Assist gas is Oxygen?
Yes, needs O2
the quality of the cut looks very poor, a plasma cutter leaves a better presentation than this laser equipment
You're correct, 130W could not cut well for 1.6mm&1.8mm thickness
😑
Yes, its bad
cheaper to buy a plasma cutter .
Plasma cutter could not cut non-metal materials :)
PLASMA NOT LASER
Yes, plasma is good for steel cutting, as this video: ruclips.net/video/wflOunIh0h0/видео.html
Please dont lie to people. This is not a CO2 laser. Look how the video stops when he goes back to the laser tube, because this is a totally different machine
This is a CO2 laser machine, which requires oxygen to support combustion when cutting carbon steel and stainless steel. Without oxygen, CO2 laser cannot cut metal. You need to update your knowledge.
