Sep 24 2023 update: I just finished book 6. This game is a MASTERPIECE. - This stream was from way back in June LOL I really wanted to start it before AX so I could attend the TWST panel! I'm now fully caught up on the EN story and have been playing all the events since ghostmari. Watching this back now makes me flinch LOL I have so many unexpected faves in this game (the eels bro... The EELS)
"This is the harrassment tier" But the fact that Leona canonically respects women and is also slightly afraid of them because the women in his kingdom are naturally stronger than men is taking me out 😭 Also, even if people don't agree with me, Rook is technically considered a "green flag". How do I know this? There are two types of cosmic spells in the game: light (yellow-ish white) and dark (black and purple). Most of the characters use dark cosmic spells (including Malleus and Jack) and to me, those spells basically mean "okay yeah red flag" (even though we love them for it), but there are three characters that actually use light spells. Those characters being Kalim, Silver, and **Rook**. Don't believe me? Just try it out :)
It's cause they're technically not based on villains isn't it? Huntsman in Rook's case, Aurora in Silver's, and the Sultan in Kalim's? technically none of them are bad so it makes sense. that's interesting though I never noticed that. I need to look at the other characters now

the aesthetic marketing is a lie. they reel you in with the pretty character designs then you realize the story is just about a bunch of high school boys doing dumb teenager things but it's too late to turn back cuz you're already emotionally invested in said idiot teenagers.

@@falsehoodintensifies445 if youre into games with similar ages of characters (something like ensemble stars or other high school age gachas) i think you’ll like it! the story is pretty funny at points but you may find it silly if you aren’t used to stories like this. for reference i started playing twst at 20 and i don’t feel too old for it, but i also like games like this a lot 😓 the gameplay may feel a bit repetitive too but that kinda comes with the gacha status i think

Man...I'm not THAT old...but I remember back in the day when they used to make villains look like crinkly, goblin-looking farts that just scream "unlikable" from looks alone But now, their looks jumped from one end of the aesthetic spectrum all the way to the far opposite end Cuz villains nowadays scream "If evil, why hot???" in more ways than one
Gaston is probably the first instance where a villain is good looking but his attitude just screams unlikable. Then again I was never attracted to him one bit.
