The original code edt was my signature scent for a long time and one of the ones that got me into fragrances
I have the original code and I’ve just got the new one, let’s just say ignore the haters this one is much better ,had so many compliments at work and it lasts longer 10/10

This is interesting.... I remember smelling the OG code back in the day & liking it but not really thinking that I would wear it. I got a mini 15ml of Code recently for FREE & really like it. Way different to what I remember. Turns out it's the new version... I personally prefer the changes

The Code EDT is my NR1 Fav.. It has that magic spicy powdery feeling with the anis and leather and girls just love it. Glad i have a big bottle. I havn´t smelled Edp or parfume. Some reviewers say the new parfume is strong and hard to wear without choking people. Is it true? And thank you for a great professional reviews.
Bro I just revieved my order from your testers. I got by the yuzu grove. I was looking at video reviews and they all said it didn't last. I sprayed it at 7:00AM and I'm still feeling it, got 3 compliments today. It's been 6 hours and aside from all complaints I'm happy with my By The Yuzu Grove. Can't wait for more of your fragrances!

Really unfortunate that they discontinued Absolu and Profumo. Those are great fragrances.

I have to agree with this. If we include the twenty-teens in this, so many of those releases have become legends, partly because most of them have been discontinued and brands have moved on to the endless cash-grab flankers.
I remember when the word "reformulated" was like the doom word in the frag-comm. Oh, but no-longer. Now, "discontinued" is the thing of nightmares for fragrance lovers.

OG, pre-reform Code was amazing, especially if you like licorice/anise notes. I believe you can find it by looking for bottles without that textured horizontal band at the top rim under the cap (though look out for fakes, Code was popular enough in its heyday to be faked quite a bit).
Overplayed and overpopularized, you can bet the mass of those old style bottles are fakes
There is nothing left on ebay but the fakes atm.
Your on point this can be worn anytime now has a modern twist to the old DNA 🧬 not mad at all it’s been my go to scent for school and I been getting compliments 😂
I was hoping you would say how the EDT stacks up against the Parfum.... Now I'm real happy I got backup bottles of the Absolu line. Discontinuing the Absolu and Parfumo line feels sacrilegious.

Back in high school (2010) the 2 colognes I owned were Code & ADG lol. Maybe I’m just biased but I swear back then they were monsters, 10/10.

Still quite expensive for an EDT with a "cheap" (same parfum bottle, less features) presentation. Prices are getting overall too high lately, but I still managed to snap a full presentation Cedrat Boisée, 60 ml, for 48€. 60/85$ for 50 ml not that new designer is tough! As a fan of the Armani brand, I'm not very happy (L’Oréal looks super greedy).

I have a feeling this is going be like Dior Homme Original and Dior Homme 2020. I absolutely adore Dior Homme Original and Dior Homme 2020 is just ok to me. The Armani Code line is one of my favorite fragrance sub-lines of any fragrance house. To know that Armani Code Absolu and Profumo are being discontinued is completely disheartening. Armani EDT is still a phenomenal fragrance to me and for it be reimagined is disheartening as well. I’m going to wait awhile on this one.
I just got a invitation to try a Armani code edu de toilette sample campaign. Just got confirmation and should be here within 2 more weeks. Super excited!! Can't wait!!

This is the greatest idea ever! I loved Mania (still have 2 bottles hanging on!) I feel it was very underrated. I vote for 2023 Armani Mania!
Mania was my personal signature from ages 16 to 32. Literally half my lifetime, at the time. I'll never understand why they discontinued it - it had a very distinct identity from the rest of their fragrances (IMO)

If I was Armani I would try to repackage and release a winter vanilla code and a clubbing cola code again as both profiles still work.

Please do a comparison of original Code EDT (that you hold @1:05), reformulated Code EDT (left hand @1:05) and the new bottle style Code EDT.
I’ve had the bad luck of falling in love with code too late! Lol (I do love it too!). I bought sone safe at discounters and hopefully that’ll last a bit. (I’m not as freaked out now anymore) maybe I’ll like it better even! (Thanks Ashton) 👍

Sounds like they've reformulated but dressed up the process in a way that sounds new and exciting to fragheads. Admittedly, the word, "Reformulated" has a tendency to immediately ruffle feathers the moment it's uttered 😅
Does that mean the original DNA will longer be made?
I think the OG is perfection and not sure why they’d twist the original if they came out with Parfum which is similar but more fresh than the original..

L'Oreal has opened a Pandora's box with this Armani Code series. With this molecular manipulation techniques it's possible to create new smell without even going to lab doing messy chemistry in practice. It's possible now analyze ANY molecular chain and do changing similarly like in digital voice/picture manipulation. So it's so easy create like "remainds me some like minty..vanillish... cardamom...no... WHAT is this?" Yep, literally something new, never ever smelled BEFORE 😉😋👍💎
love the new parfum so i wouldn't be surprised if i like this. I also like the old codes and never knew they were clubbing scents or whatever. I wasn't paying attention at all to what people wore in clubs and i never smelled it back in the day so i have no old associations with Code. It's all new to me even the old versions. So will be interesting. And Code Parfum is gonna be my signature scent. I like it and find it versatile.

@@RaphaEl-pn8ue It has a really nice classy iris note ngl it's super formal but can see it being pulled off in many occasions and weathers. To me it smells like quarterly reports and initial IPO conferencing though but I like that iris so much better than any of the Dior or Givenchy ones. They just smell too cheap and plasticy and creamy and sweet to me, it smells more like a candy or woman's $10 body spray to me than a man's cologne, which Parfum does really well. I do not like the bottle design at all but the magnetic cap is nice. And it lasts FOREVER. Srsly. You can spray it on your wrist and wake up the next day with it. Armani weirdly knocked out a fragrance of the year at the same time as shitcanning absolutely all else. I wish more men's fragrances did iris like that.
I personally will try this out . But there is something so special about the original OG ARMANI BLACK CODE…….yes this is the original before it became the Armani code. I have a 2007 batch Armani casino it came with a deck of cards and poker chips…….it is as close to a potent og as I could find.
At 4:10, there's a bit more than the ingredient information. On the last line of the ingredients is the formula code of what appears to be Z70014348/1. It would be interesting to compare that formula code of your Sept. 2022 bottle to the ingredients and formula codes of the Armani Code edt released last year and several since 2004.

That's what I'm hoping for with Absolu. I know it's discontinued but it's still listed on their website with a "notify me" tab. Crossing my fingers they'll bring it back with the new bottle design 🤞
I have been wearing Armani Code for 10 years already. In my opinion is the ultimate most versatile Fragrance. You can wear it anytime, any season , on every occasion.
I enjoyed the Ultimate, Hated the sport version found the Profumo a bit indifferent but the one I really really Loved was the Armani Code Absolu.
For me was the ABSOLUTE fragrance. Imagine my disappointment when i couldnt find it in the stores and later heard that it was discontinued.
I tested the Parfum and I wanted to cry. What an embarrassment. Gave it few more tries but every single time my nose couldnt accept that smell.
Completely different Notes. Nothing like the Code line.
Im gonna use my last bottle of Absolu and will try to "rehab" and jump to another fragrance.

Try di gio parfum, and code parfum. It will grow and grow. Absolutely fantastic ✌️ compliment beast. I did use previous parfumes from the line, ofc these are better but still current releases are stunner in my opinion

The Code line is easily one of my favorites, Profumo personally is in my All-Time Top 5 for many reasons. The new Parfum just got me crazy compliments at work yest. Can’t wait to try this new one!

As a late 80’s baby that OG code was pure classic. My signature scent for a LOooooong time and I’m sad to see it be tampered with. I got the most compliments from either gender. Wear it everyday in all environments. Just classic. Now I have no idea what my new “go to” scent will be.
I just bought my bottle of the new code, and I hade the same problem with the collar.
Check your local Ulta! I found a 3.7oz bottle of Code Profumo for $86 dollars on clearance just last week!

Exactly… for me the original is the best, ive smelt all of them, the leather, wood, and tobacco in the original really is beautiful and not talked about enough, this new edt is not it! If you want a fresh take on code, then go for the parfum, makes no sense why they would make the edt fresh as well
