Feels lighter in mechanics compared to "The captain is dead". It is about managing a queue instead of the intensity of saving the damaged ship that is being attacked by aliens.

While the theme is similar, they are very different games.

@@TheDiscriminatingGamer I heard that Starship Captains is very imbalanced because different actions lead to different scores in very obvious ways.
For example if you allocate all resources to missions you will win, compared to others who allocate in tech upgrades.
A similar imbalance is suffered if you play Star Ward Risk where you can focus on destroying the bunker and then destroy the Death Star, ignoring Luke vs Vader and space battle.
That makes games linear. One linear strategy to win.

fyi, damage never goes in the tech board, other than the initial damage from setup. damage can only be added to the cargo hold.

@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Its a star trek cartoon on Paramount plus, it basically parodies everything ST related, but in a good way, plus having actual good star trek stories. It is hilarious and one of the best star treks out there.
