    For removing the oil filter, I use a gallon zip lock bag. Loosen filter, put bag under the filter, finish removing the filter lowering the filter into the gallon zip lock, zip up the zip lock, transport to your oil disposal. Zero mess. I don't pre-fill the filter. I start it up, the pressure comes up instantly, then after a leak check idle running, I top off.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  Месяц назад

      Cool, nice subtleties.
      Prefilling the filter allows the oil to flow a little quicker a small subtlety that over time will add up to protecting your engine better.
      If you think of just running your engine for a split second without a good oil flow is like rubbing your hands together without water between them just more friction and over time will wear out the component sooner.
      That's why I always try to prefill the filter also you'll have a better oil check too when you check your oil level it will be a lot closer before you start it.
      However it is always good to check it after you let it run for a while let it drain down for 10 minutes

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 года назад

      Great question George I would definitely do the engine flush I would also get one case of 16 oz bottles of the diesel injector clean plus seating boost That's the green bottle.
      I would also get a Wix oil filter for the first 3,000 mi and then switch the oil filter to the Amsoil filter.
      I also recommend the Max 2D diesel signature motor oil and it's a couple other subtleties I would do to that truck depending on what you're doing I would also do the transmission fluid the coolant and the differentials immediately you'll see a huge bump in performance less vibration in the drive train extended life of all the components and an overall better driving truck in every day driving.
      You'll see a huge savings and fuel mileage for the life of the components and a lot more peace of mind.

    Looks like AMSOIL warranties double the OEM interval for turbodiesel pickups up to 25,000 miles or one year.
    Doing a quick Google search of the owner’s manual, that would equate to 16,000 miles or one year of normal use for 2500/3500 models and 8,000 miles/one year of severe service.
    Nice work.

    On Amsoil's page they show one 16oz bottle is enough to flush engine. Was there a reason you did 32oz?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  Год назад +1

      Great question if you are doing over 10 quarts of oil you can use two bottles I've also flushed a truck that was 11 quarts in one bottle still worked well but I called technical support through Amsoil and once you get over 10 quarts you can use two bottles so if you have for instance like an 18-wheeler that holds 40 quarts of oil you can use four bottles.
      Basically A good rule of thumb is one bottle per 10 quarts👍

    I have a 6.2 Diesel IDI, I normally run rotella T4, a week ago I switched to Amsoil signature series 15w40, is it normal for the oil to get black sooner than it useto with Rotella? I'm running a Baldwon filter, will be going to Amsoil filter next oil change, OEM recommends 5k miles on normal use.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 года назад +1

      Yes your oil will get very dark at about 3,000 mi on an older vehicle because of all the carbon buildup is getting pulled off the metal parts and circulating in suspension once the filter is full it will get super dark.
      All you do is change the filter and do another round of fuel additives cleaning the valves injectors carbon deposits in the combustion chamber.
      You'll notice your motor runs smoother You'll also notice better fuel mileage better responsiveness and your motor will continue to be cleaner as time goes on.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 года назад

      Good to know I didn't know that.
      The engine flush cleans everything in there so those gears around the rings oil cooler ports if it's a turbo vehicle it would even clean the turbo coating inside and around the turbo and/or turbo screen depending on the equipment makes a huge difference very important on something that has high levels of thick thickening and all different types of buildup.
      After doing my second round on my personal vehicle I've seen quite a bit of an improvement in compression I can actually hear a difference in the motor and the way it engine brakes very impressive This is my follow-up video - ruclips.net/video/3rdN6U1Jt_M/видео.html

    Eban, what’s your option on the hot shots secret oil additives and fuel additives?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 года назад +1

      The fuel additives from what I've heard are really good.
      Motor oil additives are very thin ice because when you add the additive it can change the way it cold flows significantly also the oil can break down a lot faster.
      There's a lot of elements that come into it m
      I highly recommend the Amsoil Signature Series You would be very impressed with the performance of it and the way your motor would run If you are considering trying it this is my personal link I would be your Amsoil dealer and I could always answer all your questions in the products in the future.

      Sweet!
      The Amsoil becomes less than free because the signature series Max duty signature series diesel oil lasts 15,000 mi of severe service it's 100% synthetic it will allow your motor to last significantly longer less wear on the pistons and cylinders.
      You'll also have less blow by and fuel contamination because the 100% synthetic seals the cylinders better.
      Your motor won't burn as much oil and by the time you get to 8,000 mi you will have basically saved the cost of the oil and fuel savings.
      It's really amazing how The oil thickens and breaks down compared to other oil
      This shows a lot of technical data you'll see the volatility and how different it is compared to the other oils.
