I've really been enjoying getting into your minimalist luxury mindset. I actually found myself looking at handbags on Fashionphile and I just thought, "Ummmm, don't you have enough?" I just sold 19 handbags and I still have more than enough. It’s an addiction. I wish I knew more and didn’t buy the “trendy” handbags and just stick to the classics investment bags when I started my collections 6 years ago. Thank you so much. ♥️♥️♥️
I totally understand where you’re coming from. In these pandemic times, luxury seems less relevant, that videos on luxury and make up hauls tend to be overwhelming already.
I can see the advantages of every piece in your collection, it’s already very well curated. I personally would sell different bags than you, but that’s just me, my taste & lifestyle. I’m down to 5 plus a clutch, but I have a few holes in functionality I would like to fill, having said that, I personally feel 10 is a nice sized collection (keeping in mind that I’m very fortunate to be able to own even one).
Every bag that you consider letting go seems like sacrilege, but given your very curated collection already, I can see why those would be your hypothetical choices. Your totally MM is such a practical bag especially given the zip closure, external pockets and no vachetta, unlike mine 😭 I would definitely keep the small Chanel double flap for as long as possible with all the price increases! Xx
We live only once. Don't sell anything. There is no reason to be so drastic. As I understand from previous videos, you don't have financial problems and you don't have a huge luxury collection, and you do like all of your bags, so why to sell? :) Ofcourse, if you do have financial problems, you should sell all of them. If not, enjoy life and your bags 🌷
I've never really been into the Balenciaga city bag until I saw how beautiful yours looks... the black leather with the most beautiful shade of gold hardware somehow really works so I'm glad it's one of the keepers for you.
Yes sell of course. I think the reasonable amount of bags is 5. When u various colours to match your clothes it's quiet enough.There is no need to have many . We only wear 1 or 2 and all the rest is kept in the closet And when you get bored again you can sell them and get yourself different and new style.i saw some videos where people have 20 or 60 and I think it's related to some kind of complexity or obsession

I really appreciate your point of view about luxury hand bags. I have one Chanel bag it was seasonal piece and my ABC lady Dior. The Chanel bag I worn a lot more, because it is made out of calfskin leather. Lady Dior I have for a two years and it’s been with me only a few times (I purposely bought this piece as a special bag, so I don’t mind. But I absolutely agree with you - there is no way you can wear this bag on a daily basis it will get absolutely destroyed (especially if you go with lighter colors). As a everyday bags I really appreciate my Lonchamp bag collection. I have 7 different bags and all off them serve me beautifully😍
I agree with the keeping choices totally. Is more you and for that reason , selling a Kelly or a Chanel will give you more money for a new exiting piece in your collection. The LV is vintage now as the Dior ( you might miss them in the future and they will not bring you such money). The Ysl piece could be used as a piece inside a larger bag. There is a gold moment when to sell, choose carefully. Loved your videos. Have a great new year!
I think you will make the right decision on what to keep and part with. Now if I were to let go, I’d have no problem with the LV tote and Speedy. Hold those Chanels and Hermes close for now. But the large Hermes would make someone else happy ☺️

This was really interesting. You have a beautiful collection but if mine was the same my choices would be almost the exact opposite. Probably because I have no time for mini bags. Once I got to the age of needing to carry reading glasses everywhere as well as sunglasses and emergency medication mini bags because useless and they had to go and I needed larger bags. That is why I would advise keeping the Kelly 28. In 10 years time you may really regret selling it and if the past decade is any indication they could be well over $20 by then.
I would say you should sell these bags if they no longer make your heart sing. However, you probably need to get new bags to make new videos and talk about, cos yours is a luxury channel and your current bag collection is already so curated. Maybe you have to change the direction of your channel and talk about luxury jewelry or mindfulness spending instead of latest bag trends. More money on hand is definitely a wiser mindset. I always love to hear your minimalist mindset videos. Like what you said before, everytime before i buy something, I would ask myself, would you prefer the money in hand or to exchange the money for the item in hand? Buy essentials not extras. Sell! There’s no point in keeping if you’re not reaching for them. Maybe only the Hermès and Chanel due to perceived value increase. Otherwise, not worth keeping, get the money instead and make that work for you 🙂
11 bags is less than what a lot of luxury handbag collectors have and if you are letting go of 5 that is good. I really don't think we need more than 5 or 6 luxury bags especially with the current situation where we cannot go out at all. Minimalism is my motto for this year. I talked about it on my channel:)
I like to have three to five designer bags. My tastes change and my feelings of what is practical. I sell and replace. I am trying to be satisfied with what I have. I also don't like to have a crowded closet and like to have space in there.
Personally, I don’t think the Lady Dior and Birkin 25cm are similar. Both are black and top handle bags with more or less the same size... but the Lady Dior’s cannage pattern and overall look feels more dressy and classy. The Birkin to me always felt like casual chic. Effortless and casual but still refined. Just like how Jane Birkin was. The Lady Dior feels more like Princess Diana, ladylike and formal bag. I honestly wouldn’t sell either just because while they seem similar on paper, their overall looks are vastly different.
I think you should keep them all, you have lovely small collection already but if you r selling them I would love to buy Chanel small flap bag as my first Chanel bag. Thank you

I would get rid of my black Birkin 25 in a heartbeat but cannot face going through the stress of trying to sell it without issues. I have the same problem with downsizing with my luxury jewellery collection. I simply cannot bear to think about the potential scammers, so I have resigned myself to the fact that they will sit in my closet for the foreseeable future. 'Once bitten twice shy' as the old adage goes. Slightly off topic I know, but I am addicted to my sunglasses for the following reasons: they have prescription lenses; my eyes are sensitive to light (living in Sydney exacerbates this problem) and more importantly: they cover a multitude of sins. If I don't feel like putting any make up on when I need to pop out briefly, they are miraculous! 💕
Would you not consider using a consignment service? I'm sure the B25 will sell for a good price even with commission factored in. I love my sunglasses too! My life savers when I don't feel like wearing make up xx
Hello I believe that you have a nice collection and you should keep it all. For the lady Dior you should upgrade the bag get the one with the flap. Everything you want to sell the price has double or triplet you might regret it in the futur

Totally have the same feeling that when you-me-us in top of somethingn and want to sell more than keep things. In my experience when I was into pandora, i was a beginner with silver charm, and then moved to 2-tone charm -> gold charm even hard to find charm in 2tone/gold/diamond in gold etc. so I absolutely understand why you want to sell almost your luxury bag. But i would really want to keep the Kelly one and Chanel. All of us now the value of kelly in 28 black GHW right. And chanel sometimes i may think you would hang out with it. Take more time my dear

I suggest that you keep your Chanel flap Eileen because when your boy is all grown-up and you're much older, your bag preference and lifestyle may change. Im sharing based on experience as my 2 children are already in their 20s and I'm really enjoying my classic bags now. I just think that you will need a flap bag in your collection in a few years.
You have a great collection! I think you have a good handle on your needs and likes. This makes sense if you did have to get rid of a bag to make room for a new love! Of course we would all stand in line to get one of these bags so I’d be curious to see what you love in 2021 to make that move!
I think it is definitely the right decision to sell the lady Dior and the YSL clutch. I can see the advantage of only keeping the mini flap but personally I would keep both Chanel bags because they are classic and beautiful. Also things can change and it would such a shame to have to buy another classic flap years down the line. Also Please, please keep the Kelly, what a shame to sell it . I would cry for you 🥲 🙈 I am personally not a fan of the monogram canvas in speedy or the mini back back as it is a bit loud, but that is just me (disclaimer I have the never full in monogram but when I don’t need it as a nappy bag I will definitely sell it!) Have you ever thought about a mini Evelyn as an errand bag? I think that would really suit you as it is so understated and beautiful. It could replace the balenciaga? I just realised you have so many black handbags! 😄 if I were you I would keep the Lady Dior and let go of the Balenciaga mini - the former is such a beauty and given the low resale value, not quite worth selling it IMO. And I feel it has a very different vibe compared to the Birkin anyway!

I have the same YSL clutch, and I actually wore it today. I agree it's not as versatile as a handbag, but for me, sometimes I just want to grab and go, and it fits my absolute essentials very well. You have lovely pieces btw :)

The thing about selling things is you might have seller remorse later on. Be very sure before selling your items. Now I look back at my sneakers and thought....why do I have 6 of them when I can only wear them on sat / sun which is twice a week. Why do I have so many working clothes when i only work 21 days per month.
How tall are you? I am considering either the small or medium/large Chanel classic flap but want it to look proportional to my frame. I am 5’4”, usually on the thin side but carrying a few extra quarantine pounds I need to shed haha!
Hopefully you can keep all your bags (they're all lovely btw ❤) for a long time and never have to let any go unless it's for a happy reason, but it never hurts to do some scenario planning for these what if situations. That way you won't be caught unprepared and can exercise your options better.

As you have already downsized your collection I would say to keep all your bags except the YSL clutch because you already have other pieces to fulfill your clutch need. A part from that I think « the one in one out » rule is a good idea and will let you some time to evaluate your 5 least favorite bags. If you sell one of your Hermès bag I will be interested in buying (not the bag) but the Twilly you have on your gold kelly 😬 !! Think of me if you want a little fresh air/change on your bag, I will be more than happy to help in keeping your twilly collection curated 😅!!

I settled for a Kelly 25 sellier although I am more into the retourne style and thinking for quite some time to sell the sellier again. If you do not reach for it let it go and get your dream model. Totally have the same feeling that when you-me-us in top of somethingn and want to sell more than keep things. In my experience when I was into pandora, i was a beginner with silver charm, and then moved to 2-tone charm -> gold charm even hard to find charm in 2tone/gold/diamond in gold etc. so I absolutely understand why you want to sell almost your luxury bag. But i would really want to keep the Kelly one and Chanel. All of us now the value of kelly in 28 black GHW right. And chanel sometimes i may think you would hang out with it. Take more time my dear

I suggest that you keep your Chanel flap Eileen because when your boy is all grown-up and you're much older, your bag preference and lifestyle may change. Im sharing based on experience as my 2 children are already in their 20s and I'm really enjoying my classic bags now. I just think that you will need a flap bag in your collection in a few years.

I think it is definitely the right decision to sell the lady Dior and the YSL clutch. I can see the advantage of only keeping the mini flap but personally I would keep both Chanel bags because they are classic and beautiful. Also things can change and it would such a shame to have to buy another classic flap years down the line. Also

I am personally not a fan of the monogram canvas in speedy or the mini back back as it is a bit loud, but that is just me (disclaimer I have the never full in monogram but when I don’t need it as a nappy bag I will definitely sell it!)
Have you ever thought about a mini Evelyn as an errand bag? I think that would really suit you as it is so understated and beautiful. It could replace the balenciaga? I am not sure if the balenciaga is a bit dated looking a bit ,90s... but what do others think? 🤔

I just realised you have so many black handbags! 😄 if I were you I would keep the Lady Dior and let go of the Balenciaga mini - the former is such a beauty and given the low resale value, not quite worth selling it IMO. And I feel it has a very different vibe compared to the Birkin anyway!

I have the same YSL clutch, and I actually wore it today. I agree it's not as versatile as a handbag, but for me, sometimes I just want to grab and go, and it fits my absolute essentials very well. You have lovely pieces btw :)
How do you find the YSL clutch wristlet? I’m thinking of getting it.. I think it looks very pretty.. and can be dressed up or down.. though I understand it’s not an everyday bag.

I think you should hold onto the Lady Dior. It’s crazy how they’re so much money and have terrible resale value. You don’t want to lose any money! I made that rookie mistake with a Bottega bag I sold 😖

The thing about selling things is you might have seller remorse later on. Be very sure before selling your items. Now I look back at my sneakers and thought....why do I have 6 of them when I can only wear them on sat / sun which is twice a week. Why do I have so many working clothes when i only work 21 days per month.

Hopefully you can keep all your bags (they're all lovely btw ❤) for a long time and never have to let any go unless it's for a happy reason, but it never hurts to do some scenario planning for these what if situations. That way you won't be caught unprepared and can exercise your options better.

Hi Eileen, Happy New Year 🥂 ! Your collection is so beautiful 🤩 and classic ! As you have already downsized your collection I would say to keep all your bags except the YSL clutch because you already have other pieces to fulfill your clutch need. A part from that I think « the one in one out » rule is a good idea and will let you some time to evaluate your 5 least favorite bags. If you sell one of your Hermès bag I will be interested in buying (not the bag) but the Twilly you have on your gold kelly 😬 !! Think of me if you want a little fresh air/change on your bag, I will be more than happy to help in keeping your twilly collection curated 😅!!
