Nikita Choudhary 100% correct. Anne was manipulative, ruthless and incredibly ambitious. How else did she convince Henry to steal the crown away from Catherine of Aragon and become Queen herself? I ultimately think she did fall in love with Henry but that woman set out to achieve and succeed, no matter who she destroyed. Anne Boleyn played with fire and certainly got burnt, ruining herself in the process.
i love this scene and it kinda pisses me off that they derailed Jenny's character in S3 so much that they made this part kinda pointless since Blair ended up in bad terms with Jenny.
Swiftie Luma I have mixed feelings about Jenny. I liked her during season 1 because she was so nice and sweet, but she became a bitch during season 3. I hated how she teamed up with Vanessa and Juliet to turn everyone against Serena during season 4, but I could appreciate her for taking responsibility for her actions and telling Blair what really happened at the saints and sinners thing. Unlike Vanessa who pinned the whole thing on Jenny.
I think it perfectly aligns with S3 Jenny. "You need to be cold to be Queen...you can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you" - to me, those very words resonated with Jenny and planted the seed for how she'd end up reigning as Queen. Besides, they ultimately ended up on good terms (with Blair saying she'd miss Jenny after she confessed in "Gaslit" and bringing her back to collaborate with the Waldorf line in the future.)
But it wasn't the writers, am I wrong? Taylor kept being difficult to work with and she was desperately posing as a bad girl so that she could be seen as a believable rock star
