You have to prepare your troops for any of the expert skirmishes, plus you need luck also. For example, you HAVE to equip the 2g flamethrower on your northern shocktrooper, every other flamethrower isnt strong enough to kill all 4 troops in the northern base. And you have to hope the tanks miss most of their shots (which they don't most of the times).
I finished the game a week ago and through your video, I realize I never knew how far the flamethrower reached. Here I was using the lancers to kill the mounted gunmen wasting 2CP.
I have two things left to do in Valkyria Chronicles. Fist all of the Expert Missions, wish me luck; I'll just be following your guides as close as possible. Second killing 1000 Imps; hopefully I will get that naturally while doing all of the expert missions, if not, I could always grind Skirmish 1 on Easy difficulty.
Why i did enjoy this game, i wasnt the best with tactics, some levels were really frustrating and lucky to beat. Would love a game that was battlefield style game but something like valkria chronicles and set in alternate world/dimension
Well this was very helpful for the start of the battle. there is so much shooting at you and it's good to see what to knock out first. but yeah, i could never Imagen doing this in one shot like you did, I had to reload so many times, mostly to get in the correct position to flamethrower those 4 gunners at that base lol
Do you have some armor that I don't? It surprises me how far you can move your trooper (Rosie) without dieing - for me she just gets mowed down by the machine gun fire.
wow I followed some of the potentials didn't activate for me though. I only did one thing different from yours, and that was the first move done by Rosie, I used a flamethrower, on the galling guns first, while still crouched. then killed those two, and the rest was the same.
Potentials are just an added bonus most of the time. At least I try and plan around them. There's one or two vids where I get extra move and don't use it because the trigger chance is low.
This looks easy if you compare this to VC4's expert levels EDIT: I forgot to add the controversy that VC4 looks harder just because there is the Grenadiers
Thanks for this video. Valkyria Chronicles Skirmish are PHENOMENALLY (Hard & Expert) harder than the story first playthrough.

It's easy enough to skim through to see what equipment people have at least. My VC4 descriptions are much better.
I attempted this and immediately regretted it. I was curious to see how it could be done, and I am impressed.
There are decent runs from two other channels I forget the names of but I didn't want to copy anyone so this is my special sauce style go at it.

Clearing the map is more satisfying than spamming order to caputre the flag

Good luck!
i had no idea shocktroopers could 1 shot a tank

jeez, to get this result, I had to save after every move, kept missing, getting killed and potentials not activating =T
All I can say is I tried to be different to the other runs on youtube.

Strong Willed needs to trigger on the first move. Spin 2 win.

Have fun doing this level in Gallian Crossfire, especially with a hailstorm of intercepting Anti-Tank guns and sniper fire.
No, you just have to use the correct troops and equip them properly beforehand.
Lol this was ridiculous. Thankfully they're not needed for achievement
The 60 FPS looks soooo good
