Born Ethiopian and living in the Netherlands for more than 30 years, Zenebework (Zennu) took decades to identify and acknowledge her multiculturality. In her talk, she shares her personal journey to discovering the diversity within herself and her multiple identities “I believe, in order to recognize, accept and respect the diversity in a society, we first have to recognize, accept and respect the diversity within ourselves, the internal and the external, without being afraid or ashamed. Because unity starts within the individual, as does the change”.
