As a teacher (retired now) I can tell you that Gove was NOT a forward thinker, his policy ideas were an absolute nightmare, nearly all were voted down thank God. Horrible, horrible man, and now a coward. Avoiding his Portillo moment.

Nope, the threat to Gove is the LibDems. His seat (I live in it) is an LD target along with a number of other neighbouring former “blue wall” Surrey/Berkshire/Hampshire seats, some held by ministers. He actually has a good name as a constituency MP and by all accounts he was one of the most managerially competent of ministers (got stuff done) even if you didn’t agree with him.

I think the education is meant to close the loop and force the locals to get the jobs, and for it to be inhouse only.. but that didn't or doesn't work.... He wanted a more streamlined version didn't he ?... Or other... (This also.. opened up a great big gap.. as well... for bad immigrants.. that made use and took advantage of the UK as well... That is what happened too. ) .... So how much money did we spend on actual.. policing and immigration.. etc etc.. And how much, or how many times did these students took out loans from the UK's banking sectors and then ran off asap to somewhere else ?.... A lot... And then, also those so called "Life in the UK" tests as well.. that saw an influx of migrants that just gunned for us as a country. i.e. Pay around 500 pound for a stupid college English course, but your earning powers is around 40k per year... Well...!!!!.... While another local is living in poverty. THAT happens too ! And when companies exit out of the country, cos they cannot even insure the country or those buildings.. etc etc... Or realises that these individuals aren't going to be income... Well... !!!
