That was a good interview. She held her own with Dave when they talked politics, and she came across as very knowledgeable and humorous and just plain real. That was nice. So sorry that she lost her heroic battle against breast cancer. May she rest in peace ❤

She was a natural beauty, unlike most of the “influencers” on social media and celebrities today who have 15 plastic surgeries and are full of Botox.
“Mallrats” was the first Kevin Smith film that I ever saw. He wrote a lovely tribute to Shannon this weekend, saying that it was her post-90210 popularity that helped him to convince the studio to make it.

Actually got cheers from the audience for saying she was a Republican. As Trump and others said this week, the left has Republicans so demonized that they're afraid to wear a hat, put up signs or admit their beliefs in public. People today wouldn't cheer like that if someone says they're a Republican because of the climate of hate the left has propagated against the right.

@@michaelhymson8074 Yep. That is the climate we are living in. Democrats want everyone else to be a democrat just like them. If you dare to have different opinions than other people its automatically wrong. A lot of republicans are the same way. How unfortunate that is.
One of the reasons I admired Shannen is that she didn't give a damn about what people thought or about being different. She didn't say what she thought people wanted to hear, she was just real, and never fake. How refreshing!
People today are too afraid to be honest because they're so afraid of being judged by people like yourself. That's why I hate discussing politics.

When Shannon said “it’s the gap”, I initially assumed that she was referring to the gap in their ages, not the gap in Dave’s teeth.
He definitely without a doubt set her up with that political question about Reverend Jesse Jackson to try and shame her on national tv (absolutely obvious) and she did NOT back down. So proud of her, she was always so brave! And in case you're wondering, back in these days it wasn't ok to be a republican in Hollywood either OBVIOUSLY>

Guys, please remember that the Republican party in the 90s was NOTHING like the Republican Party we see today. The hateful, divisive and vile rhetoric we see from the Trump controlled GOP DID NOT exist in the 90s or 80s. Shannen has always been opened about her politics, so this didn't shock me at all. Also, you can be pro gay rights and Republican. You can agree with many issues affecting women's rights and still be Republican. No one is 100% conservative or liberal on every single issue.

We have a misunderstanding in these comments, concerning Shannon being a Republican. She was an 80s, 90s Republican that wasn't white supremacist or anti-gay. The Republican of today is more closely aligned with Roseanne Barr.
