2:10 one of the most nostalgic themes of the 90’s. 1995-2001 was the Real X Games. 2002-2006 still very good. 2007 on they were never the same lots Of the good events became obsolete
So cool. Too bad, i was only 4 years old when this happened and i had no ESPN channel in my TV anyways. The Playstation 1 game of this brought me here. Thanks for upload!
Yooo thank you for ripping this whole thing. I had the VHS tape of this film like a decade ago and got some of it uploaded to RUclips but my VCR ended up failing before i could get the whole thing off
The inagural edition of the X-Games, which was under the ESPN Extreme Games name, was held at Fort Adams in Newport, Rhode Island, and featured all extreme sports such as Skateboarding, Skysurfing, Eco-Challenge, Wakeboarding, Speed Climbing, Skydiving, BMX, Inline Skating, Street Luge, and Motocross. The inaugural ESPN Extreme Games, which was later renamed as the Summer X-Games, was jointly produced by Television and Production Exponents, Inc. and SilverStar Communications, Inc., and aired live, nationwide, and via-satellite on GMA Network From June 25 to July 2, 1995. Vicky Morales and Toni Rose Gayda hosted the inaugural ESPN Extreme Games with Jimmy Javier and Joaqui Trillo as the Commentators, while Bert De Leon and Zaldy Bonalos directed the GMA Network live telecast
So basically Street Skating was a bunch of Vert Quarter Pipes and then what appears to be a random El Toro sized handrail and set of stairs in the middle of the course.
i was curious how the skateboarding street course (35:00) looked in the 1st X Games as I've never seen it before. Kinda bizarre to think about the best skaters in the world today (Nyjah, Yuto, Shane O'Neill, etc) skating on that. Sure have come a long way!
Warning! This video of the 1995 X Games contains moments and stunts performed by real experienced professional athletes. Don’t try any of these stunts at home. Unless, of course, you have professional instructions to wear the proper safety equipment that your instructors recommend.
