He's so loved. I'm really pleased for him, he deserves all the success he has. I'm in my 50's and I had despaired of todays music until Ed, Paolo and co came along.

when you are at a festival the atmosphere is amazing - at Glastonbury Ed engaged the crowd so much that even if you hated him you just had to join in !!. He is a consummate professional - being involved made the set so so much more enjoyable!!!. I am 54 and my first festival - he was amaze balls!!!

I was not an Ed fan at all prior to being at this gig but he was amazing live.

Bevski209 I never said it made me superior but you can't deny that Dream Theater are a very talented band. Ed Sheeran's guitar playing requires no skill whatsoever, all he does is chug the same basic chords over and over. This is one of the first things they teach you when you first learn the guitar. Just look at Mike Oldfield, he's 61 years old but he can still play every bit as good as he could back in the 70s where as Ed Sheeran is 23 and plays like a three year old frailing his hands across the strings.
Bevski209 I understand that the basics can be as effective but that doesn't give people an excuse to just play extremely simple stuff all the time, especially since they're more financially successful than people who work really hard at learning to play an instrumental but don't get recognized for it.
Patrick Millais I know he hasn't worked that hard because I've come across loads of musicians online and people in real life who have far more talent than he does yet they aren't famous. Oh and another thing, do you seriously think people will remember Ed Sheeran in ten years from now?

why do ppl feel the need to beat some one down for making it.. im not a fan but i do think the guy has a great talent..unlike alot of modern pop trash.. he has worked hard to get where he is and i have nothing but respect for him for that..this hate culture really has to stop..music is ment to be enjoyed regardless of what style you like. so sick of all these oh he is ugly comments or he is a sell out..you get 1 shot and he has taken it..good for him.. and i do actually like this song as it goes..

When your there it doesn't really matter. They are enjoying themselves and when you can see you it makes enjoy yourself more. I was there, it was great!
When I go to shows I like to actually see the artists performing which is one of the points of concerts besides listening. I just think it's rude when people sit on shoulders, respect the people behind you that paid to be there too. I've been to festivals and really dislike them for many reasons.

That's why they have drum majors in marching band. On opposite sides of the field players won't hear the sound all at the same time so they will be off. Drum major keeps them all on beat. ;)
