Absolute GOLD mate! What a great episode! The glove smoke thing was proper! Love the passion and proof that old school still works well! Yewwwww! 🤙🎣🐟 #soonsoon ...
Great video! Awesome to see great fishing action, some old school gear and techniques and good old rock fishing mateship! The conditions weren’t exactly ideal and it was a top effort landing that fish.
Awesome episode Rob. Love the old school style. I'd seen those reels often on the vids from South Africa, with their guys out yak-fishing. I knew they weren't Alveys, but it was always difficult to check them out up close, so thank you for sorting that out!
Being a South African myself I used KP reels back there. Wish I could get them here in Auz I even tried contacting them directly. Maybe you could ask Gav where we could get them here.🙏
Pierre de Biscopp was another Coffs Harbour fisherman that used the scarborough reels . He is no longer chasing the big fish off the rocks but he pulled some monsters also!
Hey mate - it’s much harder to fish with all the new rocks that were put in but it’s doable. I’d carry baits in just to be sure, otherwise there’s gar on the inside of the wall.

Thanks Smithy - it’s a unique way of fishing but that glove comes in handy (pardon the pun).
Your mate really earned that one. As I mentioned before, too much hard work for this old fella.
Those walks over to the ledge are definitely getting harder Bob but you can’t beat a big tuna off the rocks!

Thanks for watching Malcolm. Nothing like a session on the rocks with old mates.
Happy holi friends 🙏
Gotta love some spool palming! Nicely put together video 👌
Thanks for watching Owen

Thanks Owen! It was great to watch one of those reels in action and I was surprised how quickly it knocked over that fish.

Mate - will ask him and come back to you. I know he’s got contacts at KP so let me check with him.
I have ordered kp reels from basil manning sports in durban. The person to ask for is Verushka. With covid the cost of postage is very high
nice spanish!! great video
Thanks mate! It was a fun session.

That’s right! Pierre did get stuck into some fish. Remember seeing him off the south wall a few times.
Hey mate what’s the south wall fish like these days can you get baits out there or do you have to walk them in?

The eastern side of the south wall is virtually unfishable after the upgrade. Of the concrete blocks. . You can fish the inside in the harbour.
we're is this place pls
