When 5SOS do interviews in Australia they are honestly the best, I feel like the interviews really have an appreciation for how much the boys have achieved and as fellow Aussies it makes them extra proud

Im seriously confused about how non Australian all of 5sos sound now, because usually if you're older than 16 when you leave your country you keep your accent.
i think it's a little different for everyone, for example calum's accent is still pretty strong compared to ashton's. but i think they've said before that a lot of it's due to their vocal training when they were living in england and how they were taught to pronounce words when singing.
if they talk causally they talk very aussie and when they are being more professional they are more non aus
also when you live in America for a long time, you have to change your accent, because no one understands you at all, especially with their husky australian voices they used to have, they would’ve definitely had trouble getting ppl to understand them and would’ve had to change their voices
legit ive lived in aus my entire 16 years of life and I have a very american accent bc i grew up watching disney/nickelodeon shows, so i guess its just who/what u surround yourself with.
I was 16 when I went to the US the change of accent happens really really fast. The only annoying thing about is people constantly asking. No offense but I wish media and people would let it go.

I just went to see them with Chainsmokers in October with my oldest daughter (I have to take her so I don't feel as awkward). She is 22. This last time I just enjoyed the show. No pics or video. I just stood in the front row at the barrier and stared and took it all in. I got to meet them once a couple years ago. They are awesome!
