Too too tasty a recipee . We bengalis prepare masala bari jhal with jeera hing sliced onions garlic tomatoes green chillies white+black mustard paste coriander leaves and of course diced boiled potatoes. I will try your recipee surely.
You are welcome. Do prepare my recipee. And add poppy seeds to the white mustard seeds and absolutely black mustard seeds in equal proortion in another recipee, we call it masala bari posto. Its eaten with parboiled boiled or steamed rice. Use mustard oil for both recipees. But not garam masala at all. Instead, spread raw mustard oil over the dish in the end.
Chef, this is an all time favourite with my family😋 But my gravy is without onions, only jeera tamatar plus the spices. Give it a try n I'm sure you will also like it....my mother's recipe.👍🙏🙏
Love this. Can this Wadi be used as a multi-purpose addition in diiferent dishes? Eg: can I add it to Kadhi instead of Pakoda? Can I add them to Dal tadka etc?
Bhut aasan h, you easily get kabab masala in Bangalore or south india. Wo masala lelo usmei thoda ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, curry leaves, corn flour, mix karke deep fry on high heat
I loved ur style and way of cooking, but this time after I tried myself cooking vadi after roasting them in ghee...the end result result was that it got very much bitter, whole my efforts went into vain
You have some neat clay cookware sitting on your shelf right behind you, and then you cooked in a plastic coated non-stick frying pan? Hmmm. Well, lets all hope the clay handis are not just your decoration pieces but that you also put them to good use albeit once every ten years or so? Pity.

If I am not wrong then In Mumbai it calls "Saandge" they are smaller in sizes but recipe is same. you should be able get them in good grocery stores.
