They are called cigarette pants because the long, straight pants reminded people of the shape of cigarettes. I originally (and erroneously) thought that maybe the pants style had pockets for cigarettes, but nope, it's just about the shape. 😄
If you like pastel highlighters the Crayola pastel erasable highlighters are THE best. The pigment is just right, it doesn't bleed through thin paperback books, the eraser is great and doesn't cause tearing or over moisture, and omg they are the highlight of my life lol.
When I heard skincare, I was like "ON TO THE COMMENTS!" - this will be a long comment lol 🤣 For vit C - it is an ingredient that is not very shelf stable (light, heat, air exposure and time eats away at it pretty fast) unfortunately that means most of the good vit C products are on the more expensive side. This also means use it in a few months, keep away from warm rooms (you can even keep in the fridge!), try to use a product with an opaque bottle and ideally no droppers (however, most brands do). The most popular and absolutely amazing one is Skinceuticals C E Ferulic, it is backed up by so much science but it is a pricey b*tch. There are more stable forms of Vit C, which you can find from Glow Recipe, Sunday Riley and Paula's Choice. I currently use the Medik8 one and quite like it. Dr Sheerene Idriss also came out with her own skincare line called Pillowtalk Derm and her moisturiser has Vit C and I would trust her with my life lol so I'm sure it must be great (they don't currently ship to the UK otherwise I would've bought it right away). Oh and vit C is great to use before your SPF because it boosts its effects, though it certainly doesn't replace SPF. On the topic of SPF, Beauty of Joseon is a k-beauty brand and the sunscreen they have - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING LIKE LITERALLY GO BUY IT THIS SECOND!! It genuinely feels like a light moisturiser, so light, no white cast, cheaper than most sunscreens that are frequently recommended. I also really love Supergoop sunscreens, Glow Screen is so glowy and nice, I also use Unseen Sunscreen by them. One last thing if you have read so far (or at all!), I don't know if you experience this with the Clinique balm, but it would always get in my eyes and I really didn't like it. If you end up looking for an alternative, I recently bought the Juno Co balm and oh my goodness it is so good! AND you can just take it off with water because it emulsifies with water. I had been using both Biossance and Ren Beauty Jelly Cleansers - both are also jelly to oil to milk. I love them both, but they are a little more pricier than the Juno Co one. Sorry for the length comment, I just really love skincare and can talk about it for hours! 🤣
The EltaMD Broad Spectrum face sunscreen is SU-PREME I’m so serious!!!! ✨ Very light-weight, not (super) greasy, and DOES NOT BURN MY EYES!!! Absolute favorite!! Complete game changer. Highly highly recommend
Previous high end jewellery store employee here! Great tip! If you’re in a rush: Warm tap water and blue dawn and a soft toothbrush should do the trick just as well if you don’t want to use a whole cup of windex and microwave. I let it soak while I’m getting ready for work and makes cleaning your rings regularly really approachable. Just know when you drop your rings off to be cleaned, it’s probably the same concoction or similar as Noelle showed in a machine that shakes them around on a metal grate to get the gunk out. Enjoy your sparkles!

For tops I’m pretty basic and I love a knit sweater or a boxy collared shirt, Uniqlo/ Levi’s has some cute stuff. all that paired with a light jacket, perfect for the Bay Area work place 😊

Vitamin C: geek and gorgeous makes it fresh in small batches. So you may have to wait a few days for shipping. You can buy a smaller empty bottle to refill And keep with yer regular stuff and keep the big bottle in the fridge to keep it as fresh as possible. I also use the bliss bright ideas vitc peptide serum. It’s basically a facial moisturizer (at least in my humid environment) for days I’m lazy or rushed. Also the bottle and cap are oddly satisfying to open and close… and the bottles cute as heck. Also have recently fallen in love with Trader Joe’s facial sunscreen spf 30. But it’s always sold out aaaaaaargh! It has a silicone makeup primer kinda feel. And I’ve reapplied it every 2 hours up to four times and not felt like my face was goopy and heavy or greezy (I have severe face feel quirkiness, so it gets a big thumbs up) another spf I like is missha soft finish sun milk (pink lid) it has a powdery soft feel to it. And is spf50. Other than that, I use: bliss clear genius triple exfoliate; geek & gorgeous 101 A-Game retinAl [stronger than rentinOl]; Trader Joe’s nourish antioxidant facial moisturizer(tons of good ingredients and CHEAP); and chewtab tropical flavored toothpaste tablets(Omg. Amazing. So good for travel. I keep a folding toothbrush in the car with one tablet in there folded in to use after eating if I’m out and about) Aaaand my still fav fountain pen ink is emerald du chivor(teal with gold shimmer, and a red and blue sheen)
For a vitamin C serum i use the one from The Ordinary! It's kind of more of a lotion, and its pretty strong so I usually mix it into my moisturizer or some type of hydrating serum at night! Also not very expensive 🥰
I love The Ordinary’s vitamin C serums. I have used their Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution, but I’m currently using the Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin to help lighten some sun spots/hyperpigmentation. My favorite sunscreen to use is by Solara, it’s called Time Traveler Ageless Active Wear SPF 30. It’s loaded with antioxidants, ceramides and peptides. Thank you for the hair care rec! I’m very interested in that Kevin Murphy thickening spray. My sister just bought Glossier perfume and she raves about it, too. 🧡 Oh! And I’m currently reading “Our Wives Under The Sea,” a very interesting story so far!

Another Vitamin C serum to check out - Mad Hippie's is my personal favorite! I tried it through a sample about a year ago, got hooked, and my skin has never been better. It's a little pricey and only be found at Ulta, but I recommend buying it online versus in store for nicer sales or product bundles!
The Paula's Choice vitamin C serum is phenomenal (and actually has a good amount of vitamin C which a lot of brands skimp on annoyingly). I also really like the Sunday Riley C.E.O oil if you want something a bit thicker (but also pricier) and the Supergoop or La Roche Posay sunscreens are great and super lightweight Love your favourites videos!

ISDIN makes a great Vitamin C serum! I work at a derm office and everybody (staff and patients) love it.
they have a good mineral based sunscreen too! but EltaMD is a classic as well
ultra violette - face sunscreen is beautiful. also the 'go-to much brighter skin serum' is fantastic that is a female owned and run brand.
My absolute favorite Vitamin C serum is Strivectin super-c retinol. As the name suggests, it has s little retinol in it. It's fantastic!

Another Vitamin C serum to check out - Mad Hippie's is my personal favorite! I tried it through a sample about a year ago, got hooked, and my skin has never been better. It's a little pricey and only be found at Ulta, but I recommend buying it online versus in store for nicer sales or product bundles!
The Paula's Choice vitamin C serum is phenomenal (and actually has a good amount of vitamin C which a lot of brands skimp on annoyingly). I also really like the Sunday Riley C.E.O oil if you want something a bit thicker (but also pricier) and the Supergoop or La Roche Posay sunscreens are great and super lightweight Love your favourites videos!
