Too bad because the game is much better than the promo video. Perfect for those 5-10 minutes free time breaks when you Sit in a bus/tram or something. And it's not even p2w
What's the worst is that there are custom games like that in Warcraft 3 already and they probably are better crafted, better balanced, more fun and less repetitive, than this will end up being.
Warcraft Rumble is pretty balanced actually. There are some underpowered cards that are rarely used in PvP but there aren't really any overpowered ones
Reforged died because they made a horroble job at making graphics readable and it was hella bugged. True for hots tho. But the game is quite good actually
12:20 There's so many ways you can customize your minis through augments! - cuts to a player selecting 1 of 3 options- I mean... I guess that's technically "so many"
Explanation from the guy who plays the game. There are only 3 talents to choose from for every card and hero. But every deck contains from 6 cards and 1 hero. Every talent has some synergies with talents of other cards. So basically in every single one of your decks, you can make 3^7 talent combinations which equals 2187 possible combinations
14:22 I think that is the essence of meaning in this video: Grubby: Stop counting chaos! Blizzard: CHAOS CHAOS CHAOS 2:51 but this symbolism is even more laughable… They subconsciously knew what they doing!
I ignored all the news, articles and videos about this product. Seen a lot of them but never clicked. Because I just didn’t care about it. Old wc3 fan but still I didn’t care… But as soon I saw this video from Grubby, I watched all 18 minutes of Grubby reaction entirely without skipping: this is the only packaging in which I am willing to consume this product. Knowing them now, I well might expect them to skew your further reaction on release in case you play it, hide most of monetization for players, and make you say: «You know, it’s not so bad, I expected worse», and then, after a month or so, when all the initial impressions done by people, vids are recorded and published on RUclips etc, - then bring in the rest of monetization. I’ve seen this trick.
Good morning, good preparation! You even have the arclight haircut! Hope everybody is ready to collect 1000 Legendary cards to upgrade one unit to the highest level...
7:53 as a HS player, I strongly disagree. All their micro transactions will be absudrly overprised from the start and with each update your collection will be worse and worse to the point when 90% of your collection is unplayable due to powercreep
@@hehe_xd_btw2484 dunno probably a lot it’s a good game probably the last good one they ever made aside from over watch which they apparently ruined too I quit HS when all my cards basically became obsolete and catching up meant spending hundreds of dollars.
At least right now power creep isn't a thing yet so the game is pretty cool actually. It also makes much longer to power creep all of the old cards because when Hearthstone releases 3 expansions every year with about 130 cards in every expansion. Games like clash royale and warcraft rumble release something like 1 or 2 cards every half a year. Also, the game is nowhere near being p2w because you can progress quite fast without spending money even on higher card levels
There's a new RTS game currently being developed by Geargames which has very similar mechanics to the actual Warcraft game. Its called "War legends".Do check it out and comment.:)
About the "counting chaos" thing, I bet it's because some non-virtual-board game selling companies do that to present their games, in online videos that explain the rules of their games. So they are doing a goofy presentation in order to copy a style seen somewhere else.
And now we are 2 years later, Warcraft rumble is slowly entering it's season 7 and the game is absolutely awesome. Obviously it's nowhere near being as serious as warcraft 3 or starcraft was, but please don't be all bitter. Graphics and game design is aimed more for kids but the gameplay is very good for a mobile game and even older audience can enjoy it. And the best part is, it's not even pay to win. Sure you can buy gold for real money to speed up the process of obtaining talents but you don't have to and your progress is still gonna be quite fast. Same thing with levels, you don't even need the gold to upgrade cards, you just gotta spend some hours in the game and you can get everything with quite a good tempo. Personally, I would say the game is peak for those moments when you have 5-10 minutes of free time like sitting on a toilet or sitting in a bus/tram.
"The undead: you can bring a skele-ton of troops to the battlefield." If I worked there and they asked me to read that line, I'd quit on that day. A travesty of the Warcraft name.
Btw its not Blizzard its Microsoft now... First what should i do i rename spell od archmage from Blizzard to Microsoft and Change animation from falling ice shards to falling Bill Gates.
The game looks like it's gonna be fun...for like max 2 hours. so hard pass on that. I don't have a phone anyway and I'm not gonna get one just to try it out. In general I feel like Blizzard doesn't really have the right audience for mobile games in the first place.
Don't need to predict anything, this look clearly like clash royale mechanic with different map and layout. Most likely the p2w aspects come from card upgrade and buying card gacha.
P2W is almost non-existent actually. Blizzard did a damn good job about balancing on how much you can get yourself by using money and how much by simply putting hours into the game
Warcraft 3 themed, pay-to-win clash Royale. And I will be stupid enough to download it because of how thirsted I am for non WoW, Warcraft content. Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure the blackrock clan and beastmen are part of the Horde, unless that got reconned at some point in WoW over the past 2 decades. But I'm pretty sure there are 3 factions presented and then they went ahead and split one of them into 3 more. Dragons were literally an orc unit, that was supposed to be the tier 3 flyer in WC3 originally, but we're definitely in WC2 horde. And I guess we can just ignore Rexars entire existence and what he did for Thrall in WC3.
@@FollowGrubby I think the answer to the initially posed question then is to cry... Or at least our wallets will for us, when there is a 100 dollar pack with some in-game currency to upgrade the unit you like to a tier where it is playable.
When I was still a kid I dreamed warcraft 3 game but smaller scale and be on touch screen, I think it would be amazing to control the unit groups with a big touch screen (I would love it). They just should spend thousands of hourst to make it feel unuitive and wise, like if you click the screen with one click it will be order command but if you use two finger click then it would be like moving the screen, the camera should also be closer to the battlefield. Too bad after this was being announced my wc3 dream is 99% not going to - ever - happen.
4:42 I hate using this word but... This is kinda cringey... "YEEEEEAH! We love CHAOS! Chaos REEEEEIGNS!" This feels more like they're trying to SOUND genuine, rather than actually be genuine. Uh... Sorry, I know I'm being harsh. On with the video. 16:40 Exactly. I don't like using that word either. Let people try things, don't shut people down. So what if they're being a little nutty? Let'em have fun. But, again, this doesn't feel like genuine fun.
Thanks for making discover this "game", i love your work, and now i'm going to play warcraft 3 (the real one) again. WELL DONE Mr Grubby, and thanks for all!!
Well, since that I play Supercell's Royale Clash, I definitely would play WAR. And I think it looks a great game to play. But I guess Grubby, you won't like it so much cuz it require actually much less micro. Overall, it's a good Blizzard game, and a really good try. I wish this game would make Blizzard tons of money so they can invest back to other great pc game, even though I don't play so much game nowadays, comparing to the time I watch other people playing.
Oh no, blizzard made a cinematic with a characters that was released in hearthstone cinematics something like 5 years ago. It certainly has nothing to do with you having a problem with non-white people
Mobile gaming is the hit thing today. New games almost have to be made for mobile as well since everyone has phones. The RTS markets last great attempts at staying relevant was in 2010 with StarCraft 2 and Company of Heroes 2. They were good and the old fans of the respective franshises liked ‘‘em but mobile gaming were already taking over. The era of PC gaming and RTS has passed. Now it’s the era of mobile gaming and progression systems.
Blizzard had been trending away from their high violence and mature themes for a while. There is a lot of suggestion with violent themes, but it’s way more subtle and not on full display like it used to be. Of course with nudity and sexual themes they are chipping that away as much as possible.
It seems fun, it's from Blizzard and it's Warcraft related, I like TD - so I will try it and if I like playing it (and if there are nice things to purchase from shop), I'll do that too (like no more then 15$ per month) :)
Welp.... Can we ask Bill gates to literrally leave the W3 IP to us and make awesome custom games with it. Show them how its fun for everyone to make a custom games (also show them how this concept is applicable to W3 in that game as well)
Blizzard: "Problems with Reforged, you say? Don't worry, fam. We've got you! Heeerrree's what you;ve always wanted: a mobile game!" But, to be fair, and cringe developers aside, I AM interested. As long as you don't expect it to be warcraft on mobile, it could be interesting. Although, of course, my experience with mobile games (and modern day Blizzard) doesn't bode well for it.
Remember when blizz didnt say “the best” in every single sentence and you got a prime 1min video that just implied it? I remember nerding like crazy when wc3 got annonced.
even a mobile game had a proper design other than "AAA" Reforge. I don't say i will love this game for the first time, but it looks cute and clean in terms of consistency. It's just proof that they actually invest time in this project. Too shame for Blizzard and too bad for warcraft 3 fan

@@ericsimon2286the game has microtransactions but the free progress is quite fast on it's own. Also, the cards have maximum levels so even if somebody spends money on the game, f2p players will eventually catch up to them.

remember the cool atmospheric cutscenes and cinematics in the old games? The rich and interesting Storylines. now its just a clown show everywhere you look... I'm sad. RIP old Blizzard i miss you.
They probably didn't release night elf originally becayse the Alliance and horde factions look more like in WoW rather than in warcraft 3. Alliance has a huntress known from warcraft 3 but for example also Worgens. However, currently season 7 is slowly starting and they announced to add new faction called "circle of Cenarius" or something like that. There already are 2 cards from this faction and they are faerie dragon and the second card merges falling stars with entangle. So I guess the New faction will be made similar to night elf
From the heartbreaking story of Arthas downfall, purging of cities, blackrock orcs sacrificing villagers to the demons to this.. I feel personally insulted. Warcraft was a Part of my life since I was a 6 year old child. As if wc3 reforged wasn’t bad enough.
To be fair, I recently started paying attention to mobile games, and there are some true gems out there that nobody really covers, because traditional 'gamers' and games media don't really look at it, but Blizzard isn't really the company to do it. First of all, Blizzard already is known for pretty bad monetization schemes (didn't Overwatch start the whole lootbox craze?). Second, they already have mobile games companies under their umbrella, why not use their know how in that specific market instead of taking a traditional PC gaming studio for this. Third, they have so much work to do on the stuff the neglected (not just Warcraft 3), so building a new branch before the old stem is in order seems like destined to fail. It is like gluing a new branch onto a rotten corpse of a tree instead of focusing the healing of the main stem first.
Fortunately the game isn't p2w at all. Sure you can buy more gold for real money, but progressing simply through putting hours into the game is pretty fast on it's own
dont forget grubby, there's an unannounced fantasy theme survival game being made by blizz. also, game aside, i do think the animations in the trailer are really really well done.

What's the worst is that there are custom games like that in Warcraft 3 already and they probably are better crafted, better balanced, more fun and less repetitive, than this will end up being.
And there's no microtransactions.
And the graphics are WAY better
Warcraft Rumble is pretty balanced actually. There are some underpowered cards that are rarely used in PvP but there aren't really any overpowered ones
Remember HOTs and Reforged died for this
Reforged died because they made a horroble job at making graphics readable and it was hella bugged.
True for hots tho.
But the game is quite good actually
Someone used a Monkey's paw to wish for a new warcraft game. Hence what we got was cursed.
Gotta get that younger demo. They use parents wallets like a spell without a cooldown.
WAR is also the acronym for Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning, but that's kind of dead.
12:20 There's so many ways you can customize your minis through augments!
- cuts to a player selecting 1 of 3 options-
I mean... I guess that's technically "so many"
There's only so many options.
Yeah 1 - 3 by definition is few not many
Explanation from the guy who plays the game.
There are only 3 talents to choose from for every card and hero. But every deck contains from 6 cards and 1 hero.
Every talent has some synergies with talents of other cards.
So basically in every single one of your decks, you can make 3^7 talent combinations which equals 2187 possible combinations
looks like a Frankenstein's Monster of Clash, Warhammer 40k miniatures, and Hearthstone
the most enjoyable experience ive ever had gaming on a mobile was snake back in the mid-late 2000s on my nokia 1600
I still want to believe that this isn't true.
Who is surprised by the announcement at this point? Also appreciate the honesty Grubby.
14:22 I think that is the essence of meaning in this video:
Grubby: Stop counting chaos!
Blizzard: CHAOS CHAOS CHAOS
2:51 but this symbolism is even more laughable… They subconsciously knew what they doing!
I have no idea who this commercial is made for
I ignored all the news, articles and videos about this product.
Looks interesting to try. The PVE dungeons should keep things fresh for us non-payers while we wait for the upgrades to move to next phase.
Good morning, good preparation! You even have the arclight haircut!
Hope everybody is ready to collect 1000 Legendary cards to upgrade one unit to the highest level...
So this is where all their effort and energy is being put. They really weren't joking about the phones thing.
I hope Microsoft does something good with Blizzard op because they are shitting the bed for so long now.
7:53 as a HS player, I strongly disagree. All their micro transactions will be absudrly overprised from the start and with each update your collection will be worse and worse to the point when 90% of your collection is unplayable due to powercreep
people still play hearthstone? why
@@hehe_xd_btw2484 dunno probably a lot it’s a good game probably the last good one they ever made aside from over watch which they apparently ruined too
I quit HS when all my cards basically became obsolete and catching up meant spending hundreds of dollars.
What just happened.
They just took wc3 custom maps and made a standalone mobile version to monitize and suck the soul of a dying Companys.
Are you Talking about maps like castle fight? Because this subgenre is as different from castle fight as castle fight is from warcraft 3 melee matches
"The undead: you can bring a skele-ton of troops to the battlefield."
If I worked there and they asked me to read that line, I'd quit on that day.
A travesty of the Warcraft name.
chaos was such a topic but it didn't look chaotic at all.
True... forced connotation of the word, but why? To make it seem fun fast and silly? The game didn't look that fun or fast (FROM THE TRAILER)
Why do they think that acting like idiots will somehow attract us?
Same...
Did Maximillion Pegasus make this?
I can now safely say that I've known pain.
Activision Blizzard are laughing at Warcraft 3 fans. This is the last nail.
The game is hella good actually
Well, since that I play Supercell's Royale Clash, I definitely would play WAR. And I think it looks a great game to play. But I guess Grubby, you won't like it so much cuz it require actually much less micro. Overall, it's a good Blizzard game, and a really good try.
I wish this game would make Blizzard tons of money so they can invest back to other great pc game, even though I don't play so much game nowadays, comparing to the time I watch other people playing.
I’m so sad now
You know it's going to be great when the first thing you see in the trailer is a woman of color.
Dog whistles! Get your dog whistles right here!
When can I use my cool new mouse?
If this announcement came directly before a WarCraft IV announcement it could have worked but it didn't?
It seems fun, it's from Blizzard and it's Warcraft related, I like TD - so I will try it and if I like playing it (and if there are nice things to purchase from shop), I'll do that too (like no more then 15$ per month) :)
Welp....
Can we ask Bill gates to literrally leave the W3 IP to us and make awesome custom games with it. Show them how its fun for everyone to make a custom games (also show them how this concept is applicable to W3 in that game as well)
Blizzard: "Problems with Reforged, you say? Don't worry, fam. We've got you!
Heeerrree's what you;ve always wanted: a mobile game!"
But, to be fair, and cringe developers aside, I AM interested.
I remember they were much more action than words back in the day of broodwar, wc3 and Lord of destruction.... Damm.
even a mobile game had a proper design other than "AAA" Reforge. I don't say i will love this game for the first time, but it looks cute and clean in terms of consistency. It's just proof that they actually invest time in this project. Too shame for Blizzard and too bad for warcraft 3 fan
It’s sort of tonally and audience wise a travesty but they thought classic would fail so their obviously out of touch with the fan base.
Graphics are one of my main complaints , they look a decade old at best … like what’s happening at blizzard
@@wackywarrior001how are they looking a decade old wdym?
A lot of Games in 2014 weren't even in HD graphics and this game has just lighthearted graphic design it has nothing to do with looking old
Blizzard is confirmed dead. R.I.P Blizzard North. (When you go Woke, you go Broke.)
I watched this earlier. My thoughts are, if there is a way to put people who pay to win in a separate grp. And rank pay to wins alone. Does that make sense?
You should not be allowed to rank if you buy any gold. That should be a rule!
Like they remove you from the ladder if you ever make a purchase.
@@ericsimon2286the game has microtransactions but the free progress is quite fast on it's own.
Also, the cards have maximum levels so even if somebody spends money on the game, f2p players will eventually catch up to them.
simple brother, always laugh or you will cry. I love the title, this is my mum's favourite saying.
Haha nice one actually
"Don't you guys have phones?!" Blizzard clearly hasn't learned their lesson from diablo (I think it was diablo) yet.
I truly enjoy games like this. But if I'm going to play Warcraft from my phone, it's gonna be because I'm playing WC3 custom games on my PC from my phone.
the ad starts by a coin being inserted ...
Microsoft: bought blizzard
Fans: finally, Blizzard get away from evil Activision jaws and gonna make some great games again
Blizzard:
This is pre-Microsoft purchase, and the acquisition is not even final yet!
But cope with whatever makes you feel better!
Those developers are total cringelords
look how they massacred my boy...
I really wonder what would the original devs of blizz do if they knew it would all come to this
remember the cool atmospheric cutscenes and cinematics in the old games? The rich and interesting Storylines.
now its just a clown show everywhere you look...
I'm sad. RIP old Blizzard i miss you.
Grubby died inside multiple times during this video. Also why no Night Elf? The other 3 races/factions are in, makes no sense..
I know man. It hurts. We’ll look at it this way, this is NOT Blizzard we grew up with, these are snowfakes! Lmao
Oh no, somebody has decided to make a more lighthearted game, what a tragedy
Lootbox craze is more on EA with Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 4. And DLCs are of the Infamous Horse Armor for Elder Scroll Oblivion legacy
