Nice shots! We passed you as we were leaving the pinnacles last Sunday p.m. We were flying an S800 with Sony Nex-7 and a Phantom V2 with Gopro. Will have to check out your gimbal and gopro setup for your S800.
Hey Greg, Thank you for the kind words, Im thinking I should do a edited version since I have shots from 3 other locations. Darn, can't believe I missed you flying out there. was that you guys with the big group leaving when i got there.? (I was flying the mini-hexa for practice about a hour before breaking out the s800) The setup is pretty simple, I removed the Z15 (which is going on a 1000) and put a extra damper layer and then a STELLA gimbal for a GoPro. eventually the s800 will get a AG500 with the new Phobotic's controller and a Canon EOS-m 22mm
YES they did, and some startrek episodes as well, the ranger told me one movie crew had planned to blow up one of the pinnacles, I worked out there shooting car shots a couple times. its a great awesome area.
Hello Elmer, thank you for the kind words, I flew a s800 hexa with a STELLA gimbal and a GoPro3, Separate flight camera, with 5.8g video down link and FatShark goggles. the greatest distance in the video was a little over 500 yards.
Absolutely beautiful...I must go there. Would be great to see outtakes from some of the movies and tv shows shot there and then to try to find the actual peak today. I noticed at about 5:40 to the far right there is a hole up on a hill with a fence around it. Did you happen to go up there, I wonder what that hole is about?
+MrDisneyCollector Thank you sir. Not sure what the hole is.. however quick guess. people have been digging holes all over california and the west looking for gold. :-)
Thank you Stig. Ha ha YES speed. actually this video was shot for smooth. I spend more than one hour flying the mini-hex, and got some serious fun speed runs before I pulled out the s800 for the video run. ;-) Bring your toys when you come to california, I will drive you up there for a day of flying.

My husband and I both grew up in Trona. These used to be our playground, along with Panamint and Death Valleys. Great video.
Hi this is awesome great work! I would appreciate if you can post what sort of drone kit you use exactly here--- Thanx

Awesome Bo! The shadow looks like an s8000, but what camera was it?
Thank you Chad, its my old s800 with a GoPro on the Stella gimbal, its like a whole new aircraft without the heavy zenmuse gimbal.
