I'm obsessed with Portland. Everything is so local. The food, the drinks, the beauty products. Awesome town. I had to go thrifting and honestly could spend a few days hopping around doing this. I've been super disappointed in Goodwill's current state for the past few years. They've gotten to the point that they are only accepting items that are current (which takes them out of being a thrift store and more along what consignments are seeking). Not to mention many of them (especially the one in my area) are over-priced especially for hand-me-downs.
You did awesome at the second thrift store location and I'm loving that wicker woven cap - AWESOME!
A little local dork info: 1) That's the "boutique " Goodwill, where they try to make more money for the CEO's 2 mil salary. The suburbs have a bunch of regular folk stores where you can get much better deals. 2) Pietro's is a pretty decent local pizza joint. I'm not sure how we missed HoV- my daughter and I are big time thrifters!

Keep in mind though that organizations like Goodwill are now doing that because of the other services that they provide. They are getting homeless people off the streets and into paid positions and I personally was able to attend a full week of summer camp for free (scholarship) through the Salvation Army as a kid which gave my single mom a break and allowed her some breathing room to get her life in order without me under foot. I know we think of vintage stores as cheap but a lot of their stuff is good quality and my mom bought all of her name brand clothing second hand from places like Saint Vince De Paul and Salvation Army.
I just brought a dress from Asos for 30 dollars. Actually it's the one you told us about,.it will be in that Goodwill next month for 50. 😏

S H U T T T T UPpppppppP!!!!! I'm movin' to Portland! My son was there last year and told me about the mountains, the beach, the F o O O D, the gardens in the front yards, bike riding, etc. etc. etc., but not that vintage STORE!!!!!!! He even brought back pictures and a PIE!!!!!, nothing about that VINTAGE STORE.........Love your haul (enough to steal all yer goodies. Lovvvvvvved your trip, thanks!

I love everything you thrifted!! You've inspired me to blow more dough at the thrift store!! Why didn't you buy both straw bags?? The "carry on" was so cute and versatile. For $20 you could have a purse, carry on, picnic basket, beach bag, lunch box... lol I could go on.

The goodwill where I live has jacked up prices too!! $12 for a pair of Walmart jeans, bishhh I can buy a brand spanking new pair for a few dollars more. Pshh. Loving the woven baseball cap and bag though!!
Goodwill ceos get major bonuses for the sales numbers so they really really encourage their staff to sell up as much as possible.

what's the name of the store?!? I'm from Seattle and drive down to Portland sometimes when I visit my Seattle family because Portland has no sales tax on clothes. Sounds like this needs to be a stop next time! Oh and when I saw the hat, I screamed out loud.
