@@user-i1v2x yeah, I was going to say the same thing. It's much easier if you put it to nulls instead of the actual layer that you are going to apply the effects on to. Imagine if you have to change the footage and you have to redo everything from the start. You just lost a lot of time, mate.
i saw other people saying its a lot smoother than just a single clip first you can use more movements to it like, you cant really make 2 scales transition in one clip right? and precomposing is just so annoying so yuh. dats why
That awkward moment when an editing tutorial has a good song to edit to 😶😶 Ok why is ur taste in music so good like~ Btw nice tutorial ! I’m still kind of a beginner so I may wait before I try this but the transitions look so smooth!
Yeah, you've got "speed" graph enabled. You have to change it to value graph. So how do you do that? Open Graph Editor -> Go to "Choose graph type and options" (it's next to the eye symbol) -> change it to "value". I hope this helped!

Lovely tutorial but what about if you want to use the 2nd clip you used for the zoom in transition for the zoom out; do you add another null or parent that null to the new null. sorry i'm confused.
I was having a struggle during the second clip transitions but then I realized because my composition size was for TikTok the scale size was different too 🤣
Ookay, I'm new at the ae,cuz i used Vegas before Aand... I think I'm really dumb, cuz i don't understand why editors use null layers. It's made transitions smoother? I'm sorry if this question is stupid, cuz i never seen that editors from other programs used smth like that. And tysm for this tutorial, it's helped me a lot 💛
@Hasif Afif Thank you! I created my first vid used null layers and it's really was helpful. I'm using nulls to group some elements and make the same effect on them
I’m sorry, I know it’s been asked before, but I’m struggling to figure it out. How would we do it if there was a third clip? Add another Null on the second comp? Please help!
Repeat the same thing you did with the first comp. So you have like 2 null layers on each clips. First null is for zoom in/out and the second null layer is another zoom in/out. Don't forget to link the first layer with the second layer.
Hey! Can you do this same on adobe premiere pro cc please...!!! Adobe ae crashes on my pc and pr pro works well. So can you please make a video on pr pro cc.

Hello I am very new to this... here is my question: when you scale out less then 100% in your case it was 55% how comes it is not empty around your composition. Rather you have like copies of your composition filling up on either sides. Sorry if my question is not understandable...

other way around - link the clips to the null object (so the clips follow the null object’s movement).

Who else got motion-sickness after watching this tutorial?
Aye, why have people started using null alot more? Instead of just applying the transition to the clip of course.
I'm always using null layers, it's just a personal reason. And the reason? It's because you will always contain to have movement on your clip(s).
@@user-i1v2x yeah, I was going to say the same thing. It's much easier if you put it to nulls instead of the actual layer that you are going to apply the effects on to. Imagine if you have to change the footage and you have to redo everything from the start. You just lost a lot of time, mate.
