Some of the necks of the bottles have a look of a onion bottle,or the pirate bottle like is found whole once in a while here n the UK,butj they are just too old to be found outside houses, maybe down florida way where the pirates were, loving the bottles you find very different from ones here.
52:39 I love your channel bro, so dont get me wrong when i say you need a bottle brush, some cut copper, and a pair of gloves. I only use that acid in my garage, diluted with gloves on
It's funny to think that 150 years ago someone was just sitting there doing their business and drinking liquor literally in the middle of nowhere and never would even think people in the future digging up their poophut in the city lol absolutely amazing videos!!
For cleaning bott interiors..i use lead bird shot bbs..they can be reused..take say a 12gauge shot gun shell open the crimped top and pour out bbs..shell will not go off..unless the pin on the base is struck
I can't tell you how excited I was for you on your finds! That back bar bottle had me in the middle of a bottle Grasim also! River lakes & oceans have the killer treasure and if you enjoy bottle Gasim's I suggest getting a scuba license because it really holds the bounty that others can't pillage.
Ned, I metal detect and do bottles. I think you have silver wash on the embossing. Be careful, it can come off easily...try a tiny area with tarnx. Just dab on, leave for a bit, and dab off with water. It may clean up nicely. Silver wash is notorious for easily flaking off, so don't rub. I've seen that lettering on like 1920s seltzer bottles...great find!
Thanks ! Yeah I hesitate to try n clean it because I’ve never done or seen it done before so may have someone show me or test the method on something new & crappy first !!
Great Stuff Bottlened. Loved the saloon bott what a find. ( and sodas ). Hammy & yourself certainly know your stuff. And Chucky . Love the way you stirr them up, get a real laugh out of it. Big fan here from Australia Mate. Keep up the awesome vids.
I learned to dig in the 60s-70s in San Jose. We pulled tons of blobs like those in awesome colors. Sweet cali glass. Thanks for bringing that back! and the laughs!
One time I was digging a hole and another digger came n dug right next to me and started tunneling my way. Pretty soon we were fighting w our shovels over botts - trying to grab them & knock the other person’s shovel out of the way
Hello from New York you Guy's Found Some Amazing Finds my Definitely Was the Blob Top with the Embossed Chicken 🐔 on it congratulations 🎉🎉👏 on the Amazing 1800s back bar bot Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's I can't wait to see What you Find Next 😊
Congrats Ned & Hammy! You get everyone really excited!! Great video! I've found only two blob tops and one hutch in my 60 years. That backbar bot sequence was incredible!! Sooo cool!! Rk.
Hey Bottle Ned, One hell of a video!!! Absolutely loved it. So was it you that kept the chicken soda? It was so cool watching you and Hammy digging up such beautiful bottles. I can't believe the Rye bottle from the embankment, such a stunning bottle. The lettering is exquisite. The bowl was pretty cool too. I hope you brought it home. We're you able to find more treasure in the embankment? I bet there are more beauties waiting for you to release them from the mud. Sorry I hadn't viewed the last couple of videos. I'm back to watching videos again, so I need to get in touch with you in order to take care of some transactions. Send me an e-mail please. Also could you please find me a gorgeous pontiled pepper sauce bott and a stunning ornate pickle jar. The older the better. Take care Ned
We showed the Chicken bott to the property mgr who may want it for the owner but they seemed more interested in the marbles & some local pharmacy botts haha everyone likes different things...thanks again for the monthly support btw; all proceeds go to continuing to be able to make more videos !! I'll send you an email! Take Care, Deb !
Another great adventure underground..... Just read the article about you in Marin Magazine, fantastic story...and yes, like most of the folks that watch your vids, were kindred spirits. I've been fascinated by garbage since the mid 60s, beach combing on the shores of Lake Michigan, or garbage picking in suburban Detroit, on my way to grade school.
Nothing like finding stuff in the mud, my friend asked me to look at what he found out on the mud flats of the Bay of Fundy near Evangeline Island. it was a large copper pot that he found while doing a geological survey. I told him it was a French fur trade kettle, these where traded from 1600-1700 with the local native Mq Maw people and Acadians, I had seen these in the province museum. Maybe it fell out of a canoe and sank into the mud over 300 years ago, he gave it to the local museum. Lots to be found in the mud!
You are really lucky the writing is intact. If they were used a lot the enamel can chip off. Normally they never threw them away. A lot of streamboats sank so maybe is was on one that sank. The average life of a steamboat was 4 to 6 years.
I'm wondering when Mrs Winslows heard about the lethality of her "soothing syrup" for infants... You described Mrs Winslows as a gentle and compassionate nurse....I Don't share that sentiment....She had to be aware that thousands of children succumed to her mixture...😭💀🙏😔 It was murder for money....💔
I like watching your channel but the sickening sexual innuendos is not nice to watch. You do know that you should be conducting yourself more responsibly so that your videos can be watched by the younger generation so they to can learn about history and maybe be interested in doing the same thing as their hobby. I hope you truly think about his and make a few changes to your channel.
Congratulations on 4k subs
That’s how I clean my bottles too….well except not the window thing…..😂
I love the old black glass bottles.I also love the German bottles you find at times.
The bottle gasm !!! Just like metal detecting an 1876 quarter 😊
I loved the little child’s dish😀
Still growing and getting the goodies 😁
If you can find you an old bottle brush for cleaning baby bottles it would help.

Good show ,thanks...
Bottle Ned’s back 😂
Ned, the mud flats searching is called “mudlarking”. Here in London rivers continually wash up artifacts several hundred years old.
Ah know it ! I missed senior prom & losing my virginity because I was mudlarking. I was doing that shit before it got cool
Is it possible back by that mug frag and bottle find be an older dump site? 🤔
When you see better than an eagle, you got the eye of the bot.
It's funny to think that 150 years ago someone was just sitting there doing their business and drinking liquor literally in the middle of nowhere and never would even think people in the future digging up their poophut in the city lol absolutely amazing videos!!
Agreed ! Thinking about that is part of what makes finding these things so interesting

There are more killer botts lying on the bottom of rivers, lakes and oceans than anywhere. And most of them are whole !
Pretty petite pixie -' Privvy Poking Paige' - the pumpkin pitcher. Great vid Ned, but I still miss the Limahl haircut

@@BottleNed I would do the same. Nothing worse than ruining a nice find like that!
Nice backbar
Good dig man.
It'd be interesting to know where the bot end up.
That Fricken chicken was fricken awesome! I really enjoyed this video, especially where you explained what Mrs. Winslow did, insane!
hey great show ned👍👍👍🍀🇺🇸🇺🇸😊😊😊
Oh thank god! I can die happy- new BottleNed video
Good job Ned
I learned to dig in the 60s-70s in San Jose. We pulled tons of blobs like those in awesome colors. Sweet cali glass. Thanks for bringing that back! and the laughs!
Ah the golden era of redevelopment....what I wouldn’t give to have been there
enjoyed watching great finds
Absolutely fantastic!!!
Fantastic as usual Ned, keep it up. You will achieve your dream of stardom in good time, apprecir your style and editing ability. Be safe
Thanks Steven ! No stardom for me - you can’t dig while paparazzi is following you around everywhere !!!
If I was with you at that mud bank there would be a hand to hand combat to get that bot, I know you would win.
One time I was digging a hole and another digger came n dug right next to me and started tunneling my way. Pretty soon we were fighting w our shovels over botts - trying to grab them & knock the other person’s shovel out of the way

Cool Chicken bottle!!😂

Wow great digs guys
"awesome" cleaner from the dollar store works amazingly! let soak overnight and oooooo. thanks for another great vid.
YESSS ! LA’s TOTALLY AWESOME
Another great adventure underground.....

A piece of trash captures an intimate moment from someone’s life, even centuries ago...it’s the coolest
Omg, you cracked me up! Lol.
Great dig!
Mud larking American style🤓😊
😂😂🤣🤣🤣 You guys are funny! I could hang out with you and have some good comments coming back to you all! I'm not politically correct!!
Bits of copper work really well to clean the inside of botts.
Funny you risked your health on a LP sauce. Haha 😄
Who took home the Chicken blob?
Hammy has it....for now !!
congratulations on your back bar bottle, love the reactions.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah YEAH!
Awesome finds Ned, that bar bottle is ureal well done mate.
I would be doing the same thing for a back bar bot! What a find! See ya on your next video...Good Luck to you!
Known as silver overlay The tarnish can be carefully polished for an amazing effect 😀
I absolutely love your videos BN and awesome botts!
From Toronto Thanks Ned for your videos. I would kill to go on a CA dig. Toronto is one Big dump, unfortunately mostly paved over. Thanks Ned. Mike
Tis the story of many such places. But there is always more to be had...
Great video! I was trying to look at that San Francisco soda bottle with the chicken on it and couldn’t find anything. Is it rare?
They’re scarce in aqua and rare in grreeeen !! On the front they say “California soda works H Ficken S.F.”

Not just for children. Shot of Winslows and a chaser of beer!
I'd be digging in that mud and those river banks...
looks like sterling overlay....run a metal detector over it and see what number comes up...andy from new york
the back bar bottle is from a baltimore whiskey company
I think that a lot of people knew that Mrs. Winslow had a lot of morphine. I dug 45 out of one hole. I think that adult LOVED Mrs. Winslow!
65 mg per ounce sounds about perfect for soothing me. Fill a shot glass and be good for a few hours!🧪
They tend to come in numbers sometimes for sure....some housewives became addicted to the stuff !
Make sure to clean it reeeeeeal good 😂😂😂
Extra polish !
Get a partner to help you with your emotions! 😂🤣🤣
I'm confused digging the old west but with a wooden pole, maybe a shout out to below the plains?????
It’s a filed down piece of a white PVC pipe - great for bott extraction without breaking or damaging the glass
The sign in the bar read: liquor upfront. Poker in the rear. 🤨
🤣
Nice snags there Botty
I'm thankful I wasn't born during the quack cure era. Considering how I was as a kid, my mother would have bought a case of "Soothing Syrup."
Glad my mom gave me echinacea & ginkgo biloba root instead
I watch for the bottles but my wife watches for bottleheadned to have bott gasms
I shake mine like it owes me money !!!!!
I use cut copper pieces instead of rice
My only issue w copper pellets is sometimes they get stuck in the narrow crevices of paneled medicine botts, never to come out
Wow! I've not had that happen yet Ned! Hey to each his own, we all look the same shaking the shit outa them!
I'm wondering when Mrs Winslows heard about the lethality of her "soothing syrup" for infants... ‘Common’ - ‘scarce’- ‘RARE’ and ‘EXTREMELY RARE’ we would love to know as you dig them!
😎
You need some decent bottle brushes.
8.2k views, im friends with a famous person!
Good video, but no Paige make sad.
ALWAYS use gloves and don’t breathe!
You need to wear gloves. 🤦♀️
Bots bots and more bots
It is BOTTLE, not bot, grow up!
When you ask to speak to a manager at a restaurant, I bet you say “You need to do better at Thank God it’s Fridays”
Holy cow frog , take a pill
Get used to it. Since Bottle Ned's videos I've seen/heard umpteen diggers say bott. It's infectious and can't be stopped.

What’s sex? I dig for bott so much I don’t even know what that is
Calm down Karen
