Solo or groups of friends less than 5 now have a way to get loot out of the Great Vault without running dungeons or raids. This is huge and quite awesome!
I'm strongly considering returning to WoW after many, many years away from the game. The Worldsoul Saga seems intriguing to me from a lore and story perspective, the many new Evergreen additions they will add going forward, their promise to respect my time more. I'm 36 now, and what I want from an MMO has changed significantly from when I was in my 20's.
I always return, enjoy my time, and for whatever reason just drop off from the game. The game is fine but it doesn't really give you a reason to stick around like it used to. The game back when you played (at least FELT like it) had things to do after settling well into end game. I'm not sure how they can fix this, but if they manage to figure this part out the game would be massively improved.

People may not realize adding Dragonflight as the base line leveling system transforms WoW for a new player experience. From the new starting area, to Dragonflight, to eat within. Might as well be a WoW 2

Hate when people complain about games "stealing" ideas from other games. Video games have been doing it for years and it SHOULD happen. It makes the game industry way better imo.
Option is an illusion, people are just gonna pick the fastest, easiest, and least complicated way to get the best gear or power, no matter how "boring" it is. This means most people are gonna solo so they don't have to deal with group drama, unless group makes things significantly easier and faster.
Eureka in FF14 was so epic it looks like that loved that cause Eureka was wher you farmed your expansion Legacy weapon and certain mount drops you can only get from there or on A.H was so epic farming bosses in boss trains hda to go into main chat channels to get invited to groups of up to 10 players loved that place
Big W for me was the fact that not every new content is mandatory. "Play like you want" is 100% me and my GF's thing. To run a few delves after a hard workday would be better than grind like an idiot!

Can't wait for warbands. I've 67 level 70 characters and 148 chars in total. I suggested that for so long. Accwide bank, that we can collect transmog no matter what we can wear and the biggest thing: Accwide rep. I wish that for nearly 15 years and made so many threads about that. I always got hate for that. Now it's comming. Thanks blizz! I also hope that we'll get more char slots per acc because currently it's 60. Also I love dragonriding so good it stays and will be available everywhere.
Wow that's a lot of characters! I can't imagine trying to pick one to play every time you log in! I'm glad they added this feature that you'll enjoy I think these announcements look really good too

At the start it will be only Dragonflight reps and the new expansion yes, but if you had actually listened to what he said they are going to be working backwards from there to add the rest of the previous reps from old expansions etc to the account wide system as well over time.
I dont know about how everybody is crying about the expac but for me personaly thats the best possible realistical option blizz could have and they got lucky.... Im glad they did it in time... now they have the last chance to revive the game and genre among youngs... thats the point

Classic had too much class uniqueness. We need class uniqueness as it was in Warcraft 3, but in a game like WoW there needs to be more ability to step into different roles than Classic provided. Classic pigeon-holed you into the role the devs picked for you because that was the only tree and gear they optimized. We can do better in 2023.

All this is great, but when Ian was explaining the Flight Path unlocks for alts, it pretty much encapsulated why I am just not interested in Retail no matter how much QoL they add. Can you imagine in Classic you make a nelf alt and can just immediately fly to SW? Completely takes away that journey of getting from Telrassil to Eastern Kingdoms. And I don't think that fits in retail, he's right, retail isn't about the journey. On your third toon you just want to get the the important parts and blast through it. And personally I just really don't enjoy that.
Just to answer your question in the end: - the Story continuity - the Gameplay - the Gameplay loop - the Content (dont make it about cosmetics only but also about good gear and nice achievements/titles)
The vault delve thing isnt an issue because it gives lower item lvl than high mythic plus and not higer then heroic raids, and those are item lvls are farmable by spamming dungeons insted so its a non issue, this is so good!
I just had a completely wild idea. What if every character in wow was unique, inherently. Tough to solve a game if every char is unique, and this uniqueness is revealed not at the start so you can just reroll. Dunno what every random element would be, but the more the better. Randomized weapon racial etc.
To answer your question about why having realms if everything is crossrealm: Did you see Asmongold crash a Hardcore server just because he made a character there? It's way easier to have 10 realms with 100 people than 1 realm with 1000.
true and when a realms is "broken" you can still play your alt in the meanwhile on another server while your main server is getting fixed Like in Black Desert Online you have several "realms" but it is actually one big server and you can freely every 10 min change "realm"
When he said chests are in the delves. You need to collect keys to unlock them. Many different ways to get keys That when I realized all this sketch. Thats sounds just like Diablo Immortals

Keeping it simple is why people returned to Classic, I returned from Wrath and had to buy a 12 button mouse and STILL have to use SHIFT modifiers, making that 24 buttons on ONLY the mouse not even including the keyboard keys, this game has crazy ass button bloat. They don't need to make it classic simple but shit they need to fix the bloat.

Blademaster for Warrior, how’d they not go with that as an option? Also 3rd dwarf is kinda lame, and even lamer it can be horde. Would’ve preferred Badger race from Wrath for Horde, and maybe the bug race from Mists for Alliance. Or the bug race for both factions if they wanted another neutral option. Last, I would’ve liked to see something more meaningful for the hero specs. Something like covenant abilities (not covenants) but a unique skill is for the hero talents. As it stands, it just seems like a boring way to give us a sub-sub spec, all it does is buff the specs damage and healing by %, or make cooldowns stronger, that can all be done with simple balance adjustments in patches.
Warbands...SWTOR's Legacy system that we've had since 2012. That was one thing I hated about WoW when I played it. I never understood why it didn't have a legacy system for the account or server.

I miss the old days where a new expac would be announced and i'd hastily look up what cool new spells I was getting... now I dreadfully look up what spells I am losing or now have to choose between... It's been this way since MOP and it's horrible for the game.
But what made it soo broken? It was just a 4 second stun the required a target to be nova'd. Why is this more broken then a paladins 6 second HOJ or a warriors 4 second storm bolt or any other stun for that matter around the same duration. I don't fundamentally see why it would be an issue for them to introduce deep freeze back into the game probably in the form of a PvP talent that has to compete with other talents.

I like the idea to not add on much more talent complexity than there is currently. But would really like them to actively take complexity out from where it is at dragonflight.

I was so hyped when they announced this it came across like a WoW 2, full reset. In reality its just another expansion full of bloat that we will play for like a month then naturally end up back on Classic.
None of the hero talents are adding abilities. Abilities from the talent trees have a square border, none of the talents have that in the hero section. Ion also literally says we know where that road goes, they went down that path already. The hero talents will likely just change or do extra things to abilities we already have.
This is a massive W , but to be honest, blizzard has let me down way too many expansions... things were so shit ever since legion ended , bfa was fun during corruption vendor period ( that was at the END of the expansion) , slands was massive hype but torghast was too dry and repetitive , we all know how shit covenants are ... dragonflight was fun and all but had complicated and unbalanced systems , dungeons were frustratingly overtuned . I have since unsubbed to warcraft , and have moved on to better games. I'm sorry Blizzard , i've enjoyed your game from the beginning , but you have let me down too many times to want to spend 80$ on the expansion + subscription.

I am 32, and tbh I do see some valid reasons they do not like retail. The game is not exactly friendly to the newcomer with all the bloated buttons, abilities and overall old world content. The social aspect is dry from too much artificial systems that pushed people into solo play and into lfg, instead of general chat and open world ( which feels empty due to the above and old zonnes with no scope ). I really do hope TWW brings back people with hype, open world content, delves and xbox game pass to multiple platforms. Having classic, classic+ and hardcore to keep the rest busy, is itself resource draining and pushes people to hop between games when something is happening due to fomo. They need to make a single WoW that shelters all in one place and keeps the playerbase active due to it being fun.
Im not gona lie, people dont seem to recognize why WoW sucks. The last 50 things the wow team tried to do were all good ideas that either worked or didnt, but its not an issue of that. The playerbase curve is getting older, there is no new blood being pumped into the game, that is the single most valuable thing that needs to be addressed immediately. These systems are being developped for the same old grumpy people to make them happy, but the reason they arent happy is that their game is dying and getting even more complicated which is killing it even faster. Thats the honest truth.
gonna pay for 3 day early access, then pay for wow tokens to buy cutting edge and glad! so excited. hope the next patch comes early so not too many plebs get those achievements as well, I love when the seasonal gear become obsolete so I can do it again so people know I am the best wow player every patch.

Idk man, everyone's praising this, but it's literally just biting all the cookie cutter QOL mechanics from other, more (recently) successful games, that players have been begging for for years. it's too little too late for me. almost 20 years and now they're deciding it's better to join the pack than be a frontrunner? and then announce "We already have the next 10 years planned" great, glad feedback is gonna be even more irrelevant.
So now every class is a hero class lol. Might come back to my evoker. It's time to mix horde and ally in bg's and dungeons. Allow both factions to visit all cities (only for warmode off players.) Faster que if we can mix match bgs from both factions imho

I was so hyped when they announced this it came across like a WoW 2, full reset. In reality its just another expansion full of bloat that we will play for like a month then naturally end up back on Classic.
Yeah, the game is improving but I'll still need a 12 button mouse and using Shift modifiers on it to play with a screen filled with add-ons.

None of the hero talents are adding abilities. Abilities from the talent trees have a square border, none of the talents have that in the hero section. Ion also literally says we know where that road goes, they went down that path already. The hero talents will likely just change or do extra things to abilities we already have.

This is a massive W , but to be honest, blizzard has let me down way too many expansions... things were so shit ever since legion ended , bfa was fun during corruption vendor period ( that was at the END of the expansion) , slands was massive hype but torghast was too dry and repetitive , we all know how shit covenants are ... dragonflight was fun and all but had complicated and unbalanced systems , dungeons were frustratingly overtuned . I have since unsubbed to warcraft , and have moved on to better games. I'm sorry Blizzard , i've enjoyed your game from the beginning , but you have let me down too many times to want to spend 80$ on the expansion + subscription.

I am 32, and tbh I do see some valid reasons they do not like retail. The game is not exactly friendly to the newcomer with all the bloated buttons, abilities and overall old world content. The social aspect is dry from too much artificial systems that pushed people into solo play and into lfg, instead of general chat and open world ( which feels empty due to the above and old zonnes with no scope ). I really do hope TWW brings back people with hype, open world content, delves and xbox game pass to multiple platforms. Having classic, classic+ and hardcore to keep the rest busy, is itself resource draining and pushes people to hop between games when something is happening due to fomo. They need to make a single WoW that shelters all in one place and keeps the playerbase active due to it being fun.

Im not gona lie, people dont seem to recognize why WoW sucks. The last 50 things the wow team tried to do were all good ideas that either worked or didnt, but its not an issue of that. The playerbase curve is getting older, there is no new blood being pumped into the game, that is the single most valuable thing that needs to be addressed immediately. These systems are being developped for the same old grumpy people to make them happy, but the reason they arent happy is that their game is dying and getting even more complicated which is killing it even faster. Thats the honest truth.

Not going to lie I want this solo shuffle different rating for different characters thing stopped. It sux because we have to deal with either the really good players bring alts through or the really bad players bring alts through and it's painful. Atleast the good players help you learn and when on your team it's good but bad players are so unpredictable. Obviously to a lot I am the bad player, only talking for my rating
