  • AFROTECH™ Conference is the largest Black tech conference with a global community of 20,000+ Black tech innovators during a series of in-person events filled with programming on emerging trends, networking opportunities with industry leaders and conversations with top tech recruiters. It was an experience I never got to have at an HBCU (little known fact I attended trade and art school). Nice to no longer be the only visually impaired, Black, indigenous, Muslim woman in the room. Nice to be reminded of the life I once had living in the city a decade ago (Currently living in Muskogee near Tulsa Town). Nice to see some new faces, familiar faces, as well as faces that I have interacted with online and got to meet in person such as my favorite diverse marketers Jubril Agoro (@passportheavy) and Afnan Idris (@hustleandhues) A huge thank you to Sanicle for the complimentary Corporate Ticket Pass! I was on the sidelines supporting and capturing content of the Future of Black Femtech Fireside Chat moderated by Sanicle founder and CPO Chaste Christopher Inegbedion with the CEO of Ruby Love, Crystal Etienne at the Hilton Austin. It was truly a homecoming

At 9 months old, she was taken into surgery to have her right eye removed due to a rare childhood eye cancer tumor that was detected by a photo her mom took. Her hearing slowly began to decline as she got older, but her other three senses kicked in and are functioning well.
At age five her mom gifted her with her first camera. She received her first digital camera in middle school. By the time she attended technical high school, she studied commercial photography. She never strayed too far from her purpose in life. Later on, she moved to Washington D.C. to expand her education in professional photography and videography.
She has traveled to 11 countries and 21 states. She took her professional camera on most of her out of country travels but Ghana, West Africa was the first time that others viewed her work as if they were on the trip and have traveled with her, due to the way she beautifully captures sceneries and personalities.
