Are the nice hotels on the Beach reasonably priced or are they similar to South padre island? I love the ocean views and can’t stay to long on south padre island because of the expense. Love to pretty ocean and the sounds of the surf. It’s relaxing to me

I no Mexican are nice people HD are but they other half is drug cartels people and human traffickers and i dont hold with that I do think that the united states need the border wall 30 foot high and from the pacific to the gulf of Mexico with no gates except at major hyways at major city's only just because most Mexican people do what ever cartels say there afraid of them and they crooked police but American people dont need to go to Mexico not even on vacation if American people go to Mexico they should have to stay and never let back in America

Seems like yesterday. Lived in Brownsville for a long time and this brings back memories. I still remember when Amigoland was the big mall and Sunrise Mall the little one. I also remember the Plaza in Matamoros and many Cafes and Restaurants.

I'm from Brownsville Texas but I moved to Dallas....

Here's a question - is it safe for a law abiding American to live in Mexico? Would they really be welcomed? I think being on a fixed income, it would go a lot farther down there. Hate to say it but I prefer to remain independent, free from government programs, able to do for myself...and that's getting harder & harder.

I’m born and raised in Brownsville it’s been 4 1/2 that I haven’t visited my hometown. I really hope everything has changed at least work wise.

Matamoros looks better than I remember it. I guess like any city, it can vary widely.

I live in Brownsville, Tx. and cross to Matamoros for dental work, medication and much more for great prices. Its not dangerous at all like it's mentioned on the news. Latinos welcome none haters to both sides of the borders.
