Every team that has Gareca as manager cant be overlooked. The issue I see with Chile right now is the lack of depth of the squad. In these short tournaments having available solutions on the bench to create tactical variation and being able to solve a difficult match with a couple of subs is very important and I dont see much in the Chilean squad. However, Perú (Who had also a very short squad) was able to get to the final match of the Copa in 2019 with Gareca.

I don’t agree with group A. Canada has shown many times that they are very inconsistent. Also I think that Jesse marsch is going to stuggle coaching this side considering the fact that they hired him last month. Not enough time. Against France they could not score, meanwhile Chile scored 2 back in the march window. This Chilean side is looking very scary after getting Gareca. He’s completely changed their play style. 8 goals in 3 games now against Paraguay, Albania, and France. He has given confidence to players who’ve never played good in the national team. It's a fair prediction for this Canadian team, it's almost the expectation even (minus the semi-final shout obviously). Chile are playing a 36 year old RB that plays in a weak Argentina league vs a young, high energy LWB that plays for one of the best clubs on earth. There's a gap in talent that Canada needs to exploit. Gareca is very good, this Chilean side won't be a push over, but at some point age is a factor. It'll be a tough one for 2nd.

Damn. The only thing I had different was Jamaica ahead of Venezuela for 3rd in Group B. Fortunately there's always more upsets in the group stages at major Internationals than you think there will be. I guess that's kind of baked into Internationals, due to the small sample size to base your predictions on, and the long stretches of time that go by between competitions. We obviuously just saw a massive group-stage upset at the Euros today.
Man if the US can somehow get past Colombia, even though I don't want Berhalter to stay on as the manager, it would give him his signature win. Then who knows what could happen. In most sports any team can get a win on any given day if the stars are aligned but I wouldn't bet on it. More than likely they get bounced by Colombia. But crazier things have happened so it's not completely out of the realm of possibility. I guess we'll find out. Hopefully they at least make it competitive this time.

I don’t agree with group A. Canada has shown many times that they are very inconsistent. Also I think that Jesse marsch is going to stuggle coaching this side considering the fact that they hired him last month. Not enough time. Against France they could not score, meanwhile Chile scored 2 back in the march window. This Chilean side is looking very scary after getting Gareca. He’s completely changed their play style. 8 goals in 3 games now against Paraguay, Albania, and France. He has given confidence to players who’ve never played good in the national team. It’s incredible to see.

It's a fair prediction for this Canadian team, it's almost the expectation even (minus the semi-final shout obviously). Chile are playing a 36 year old RB that plays in a weak Argentina league vs a young, high energy LWB that plays for one of the best clubs on earth. There's a gap in talent that Canada needs to exploit. Gareca is very good, this Chilean side won't be a push over, but at some point age is a factor. It'll be a tough one for 2nd.

In most sports any team can get a win on any given day if the stars are aligned but I wouldn't bet on it. More than likely they get bounced by Colombia. I think Brazil will win group D. Even if Colombia is in great form, historically they always have an extremely hard time against Brazil.
