The knockouts are set up that way because of the distance, groups A & B play in east, groups C& D play in the west. It will be difficult for a team to play in NJ then travel to California for the semifinal then back to Miami for the final. Copa 2021 was set up that way too because it was planned to be cohosted by Colombia and Argentina (northern teams vs southern teams). World Cup 2002 was set up the same way, 4 groups played in Japan and 4 in Korea until the final.

A bit harsh on Santi in my opinion. Main reason he doesn't score is because he's a player that relies on having a solid midfield and wingers surrounding him. Which mexico hasn't had in years. Also, I haven't seen him start that many games. It always seems like he plays for like 7 mts whenever he's subbed in lol. Don't get me wrong, i don't think he's the best striker in mexico's history, i just don't think he's been given the chance to show his worth since he moved to europe. He's probably played like 7 games or less since he went to europe and like 4 games or less when he was in form last year.

I’ll be ecstatic the moment football leaves the US for big events and goes to more countries, I’m American and the delusion most of US fans have is insane 😂 put them against Colombia and Luis Diaz will look like a prime Neymar to those guys, pulisic doesn’t compare to South American talents
Maybe, but I suppose we’ll see. Diaz is a very special talent definitely… but to be fair, so is Pulisic. 16 goals/10 assists for Milan while playing out of position is nothing to overlook, even outperforming Leão this season. That’s not to say he’s a greater talent than Leão or Diaz, but his return has certainly been more efficient this year than Diaz’s 13G/5A. If you haven’t seen too much of him this season, he is a completely different player for Milan-the pre-injury acceleration over short distances has returned, the lack of composure in front of goal from Chelsea is _completely_ gone, and he has developed his left foot into such a powerful and accurate goalscoring weapon from both inside and outside the box that he truly no longer has a weak foot (which frees his right foot to contribute assists from the RW via crosses). I believe many mistakenly overlook the player because of the American hype and his poor physical form the last years at Chelsea, but don’t overlook the player he’s become, just as I won’t overlook the elite ability of Luis Diaz.
I thought this would be a serious review of each team, but instead, this "Preview" is like hearing a few guys discussing Copa America teams over a beer in a loud bar. All your info is Wikipedia or Google. Talk about tactics, discuss likely strategies, talk about teams' strengths and weaknesses. Instead we get this guying saying This team socks, those players are mediocre, etc etc.
20 mins video with info that would take you multiple hours to put together. Some you’d miss. I cover the US, I’ll talk about them on details and their opponents. Brother, you can literally google each team’s tactics, it takes 5 mins to find.
@@usaball9193Most likely Tim Tillman. I say this because he has only ever played one match for the US (an exhibition) and hasn’t had any upturn of performance worth speaking of. Seems likely he was provisionally selected because he’s a positive locker room guy (and, of course, the built-in chemistry with his more reserved but highly promising younger brother, Malik).
Only if we can maintain the level of "talent" we have now, or produce even better players, because if we go backwards in terms of player talent and go to every Copa, we'll just embarrass ourselves again like 2007 and not be invited back until we hosted it like in 2016.
Hey Bro, you have to do a bit more research on Chile. They have a good group of youngster and call them mediocre players after beating Albania (Classified to Euro) and losing 3-2 in a very tight game against France showing a fast pace football is a bit off the mark.
You say: “barely” Facts say: USA 9-0 MEX in last 5 head-to-head competitive matches I don’t even want to brag on my team because I love Mexico as well, la tierra de mis Abuelos 🇲🇽 But we must keep to the facts 🇺🇸
I actually dont think Uruguay has such a strong squad. They had better generations before. The do have an experience coach... I actually think Colombia, the US and Ecuador have more younger squad which will reachtheir prime by 2026
True, I mean, Valverde only has 2 Champions League trophies, Ugarte only 1 French league trophy, Araujo only 1 Spain league trophy, and so on. They are young, but they know winning big. What have the US players achieved? Some MLS title nobody cares. Please
@sark0283 Uruguay's squad is good, you're right about that, but it's obvious that you don't know much about the US team. Very few of the players are even playing in MLS. They have a player who scored against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in a Champions League semifinal that led to Chelsea winning the final a few years ago and was in WhoScored's Serie A Team of the Season this year, multiple other players with a lot of Champions League experience, 2 players who just won the Coppa Italia with Juve, multiple players from the PSV team that stomped the Eredivisie this season, a player who was a La Liga U-23 player of the month this year and nominated for La Liga Young Player of the Year award, and a player who was Fulham's Player of the Season in the Premier League, for example. Is that impressive compared to the top countries? No. But it's enough that anyone who says their players are just at the level of "Some MLS title" can be disregarded as knowing too little to even talk about the US team.
I will give this a like or sub if you just answer me this: Berhalter himself aside, what about Crocker as far as soccer terrorist? Working with FIFA, would you conspire that they might be behind any of the Berhalter re-signing? Corruption to scapegoat the US manager? I literally couldn't think of any other reason why this dude is back tbh lol but SEEMS viable.
Could be, but I genuinely think it’s more likely Crocker was hired because the USSF is essentially run by a group of long-time friends and family (see nepotism, croneyism), and Crocker loosely agreed to hire Berhalter from the start, based on “merit” (wink, wink). After all, Berhalter was originally hired by his own brother, and according to Crocker himself, the criteria for the next head coach was developed by… Gregg Berhalter. No wonder he fit the bill. 😂
It would have to be a hell of a run. Sure David and Davies are class but Canada currently just lacks the superstar class that teams like Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and even on a smaller scale the US have. @@holdenalford1176 If they make it out of the group stage, they need only beat Mexico to go to the semis against Argentina. I think? I think Canada can do that.
@@cre8ivjay that’s a pretty big IF. Chile and Peru are historically strong CONMEBOL sides and Argentina speaks for itself. And based on the way the tournament is set up, there’s actually still a chance Canada can face Argentina (or whichever team hypothetically advances from the group with them) in the quarters. Finishing 4th in a (admittedly strong) Group in the previous World Cup while conceding 7 goals isn’t helping my confidence in them, considering that they’ll be in a group with teams that have similar quality. In summary, finishing 2nd in the group would be a monumental achievement for a team that’s very inexperienced at a level of play such as the Copa America, but it’s not entirely impossible. I think participation in this tournament is big for all the CONCACAF teams in order to condition us to top quality international teams, and as a US fan I’ll be pulling for Canada as well, but I admittedly just can’t see it happening this tournament. My prediction is Canada finishing third, but I’d be pleasantly surprised to be proved wrong.
Have no issue with putting the two most popular teams on opposite side of brqcket, makes sporting and financial sense to me and as a fan I would love to see it. As for rigging?? Come on Tac! More than giving the US a hard time, Panama has great chances of defeating them. Don’t underestimate us. Panama no longer is the same team as we had a few years ago. The “No fear / Let’s compete chip” has been implanted in our team and overall Football Federation, and we aspire to be like Uruguay is nowadays, a small country, but powerful football machine in the near future. So we shall see. Vamos Panamá! 🇵🇦🇵🇦🇵🇦

We shall see, very true. Best of luck to Panamá, and I agree that we should not underestimate your cohesive and talented squad! Still, I think USA will be too organized in the midfield, with too much attacking threat, and now also with lots of club experience at the very top level. In any case, buena suerte, and hoping for a clean, competitive match! 🇵🇦🇺🇸
@@donviajero2580and there you have it! We didn’t even played with our top team due to injuries, and yet, we defeated the U.S. I agree that Panama has not been as impressive as last year, but one thing is clear… we fear nobody, we have a clear vision as of where we want to go in the future, and lastly, WE FIGHT!!! we no longer go to tournaments to stroll around, we go to COMPETE. That’s the chip that’s been implanted in our heads across the board… kids, youth and adult players.
There are too many, sadly 😅😢 Biggest is they don’t pay their players and even sometimes make the stars pay for their teammates flights/hotels/food out of their own pockets. Very corrupt because they’ve received many donations from regular fans as well to pay the team.
Question, where do you get that this is how it should be? Concacaf is not on the same level as Conmebol, this is a waste of of time for Conmebol teams, this is only good for the ones that are getting their pockets fill, football wise, it’s not good for anyone, Concacaf teams will just participate, Conmebol teams will play seriously only until they face each other, and real fans will only be interested on it until second round which I’m more than sure it will be most Conmebol teams… Boring…

@@thewanderingsamurai1150 I'll come back here after Uruguay with Valverde, Darwin and friends reminds the US where do they belong
@@sark0283as an American I gotta admit that I agree with you
@@sark0283 I agree about Valverde-he's an absolute monster. But Darwin?... I call him the Uruguayan, turbo speed Morata: he looks like a top striker, is strong like a top striker, makes good runs like a top striker, and shoots anything outside the 6-yard box like my little hyperactive cousin
Thanks

What streaming services will carry the games? Or do you have to stream through Fox as a standalone service?
Winner: Brazil
Second Place: Argentina
Third place: Ecuador
Fourth place: Colombia
Hell naw Uruguay and Colombia are much better than Ecuador
@@rambopack9140 Ecuador has 4 points against them out of 6 in qualifiers. Also, we have an amazing defense so we will not concede much and maybe beat Colombia on pens!!
@@TheNotoriousMAC colombia hasnt lost a game since early 2022 21 victories in a row and Uruguay beat the world champs thats more impressive than current Ecuador.
I actually agree with all four. Good prediction, imo.

Born in Sao Paulo but lived more in Rio.
I always wondered about this. It hurts my heart to see this happening before my eyes. 😂😂😂😂
Winner:Argentina, 2nd place: Brazil, 3rd:Colombia, 4th: USMNT
It's not a possibility based on the format.
Lol literally impossible as only Argentina is from one side of the bracket
Paolo guerrero looks exactly like yedlin in that pic
My guy is spot on after yesterday’s 5-1 loss to Colombia
Bielsaball is balling. I would not want to face them!
The easy prediction is ARG v BRA/URU, of course, and I have a feeling this is a likely outcome unless Argentina slip up.
With Brazil being a bit of an unknown at the moment, I am tempted to put Uruguay in the final and if they do get there, I am giving them a solid chance to win with Bielsa at the the wheel.
Andy Carrol catching stray bullets here😂
Copa America should be an all America tournament TBH
To anyone curious more people live in LA than Uruguay, or is about the population of Chicago and Dallas.
Ecuador defensive masterclass. Loses in semi-final, wins 3rd place match vs Colombia
zero attack or midfield you dont win matches just defending

When will the USA announce the squad for the tournament?
They put out the provisional squad of 27. One player will be cut before Copa to fit 26 which is the max for the tournament.
@@matthewmatthew1699 which player is most likely to be left out ?
@@usaball9193Most likely Tim Tillman. I say this because he has only ever played one match for the US (an exhibition) and hasn’t had any upturn of performance worth speaking of. Seems likely he was provisionally selected because he’s a positive locker room guy (and, of course, the built-in chemistry with his more reserved but highly promising younger brother, Malik).
USA should try to be in every Copa America going forward
Only if we can maintain the level of "talent" we have now, or produce even better players, because if we go backwards in terms of player talent and go to every Copa, we'll just embarrass ourselves again like 2007 and not be invited back until we hosted it like in 2016.
why so they can get eliminated

Hey Bro, you have to do a bit more research on Chile. They have a good group of youngster and call them mediocre players after beating Albania (Classified to Euro) and losing 3-2 in a very tight game against France showing a fast pace football is a bit off the mark.
I’ve done a fair amount of research and watched that game against France.

Please
Wrong. This Uruguay generation is one of the best. We have elite players in every area.
Lord help whoever plays RB against Vini Jr. We are in trouble against Brazil
I think we will do a double team on him just like we did to Davies in Nations League a year ago I wouldn't worry so much about it.

Argentina wins the Copa America and Colombia in the second place
Oklahoma mentioned rahhhhhhhh lol
As a Chilean… you’re right
Nah bro we’re winning the whole thing
Dark Horse: Canada. They make it to the semis.
It would have to be a hell of a run. Sure David and Davies are class but Canada currently just lacks the superstar class that teams like Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and even on a smaller scale the US have. I see a bright future for Canada but I don’t think it will happen this tournament. But I could be very wrong so we’ll see
It will be very difficult to back them even as a dark horse. There are too many better options for dark horse.
@@holdenalford1176 If they make it out of the group stage, they need only beat Mexico to go to the semis against Argentina. I think? I think Canada can do that.
Not even if half the teams died
Of course Argentina 🇦🇷 👍

So we shall see. Vamos Panamá! 🇵🇦🇵🇦🇵🇦
Panama was playing really well last year, but so far this year they haven't impressed me as much. We'll have to see which Panama shows up at the Copa America.

We shall see, very true. Best of luck to Panamá, and I agree that we should not underestimate your cohesive and talented squad! Still, I think USA will be too organized in the midfield, with too much attacking threat, and now also with lots of club experience at the very top level.
For sure ARGENTINA will win again for Messi and Maradona.......
