One of the things I love about Måneskin is how many of their songs talk about sex, but Damiano's lyrics are never misogynistic or from a toxic masculinity pov, the woman is always the one in power and all he wants to do is to please her. It's quite rare in the rock scene and is a breath of fresh air.
The David and Goliath line is the perfect example of that.
Also all their songs and music video are so full of easter eggs, the apple with razors in it, the bull's eye camera like someone (the public) is watching them from an hole like in the glory hole rooms that were popular in the 30s, Thomas doing the yoga cobra position cause his surname is Cobra...😂
The "David and Goliath" part is not only a play on words, it's a play on his own name because his last name is David. (Damiano David.)
