I didn't know I was watching a 'family friendly' show the whole first season, but I watch a lot of more wholesome, or at least, less reliant on flash and flesh and shock tactic, shows a lot of the time. I just want entertainment, and if it's funny or thought provoking or innovative or whatever worthwhile, I'll watch. Another really straight and funny show that comes to mind is 'CORNER GAS'. Less goofy than this, but very fun and great characters. The BBC show 'STILL GAME' is another, highly recommend.
I would now like to see a sketch of Matt as Elmo but like an existential raven of doom Elmo that has to put an optimistic spin on everything he says when he realises kids are listening. "Kindness in the human heart is deteriorating and soon the cold age of the machine will lay us all in our lonely graves forever..... Uh, but it's ok, cause Elmo thinks the wifi will be really great!"
In future freelancers episodes, could you show us the backstories of all the freelancers, such as how they all came to meet each other, or what their childhoods were like? I'm really curious 😀
3:40- This literally happened to me one time. I was 17, and doing community theatre. I was joking around backstage with a woman in her 40s. This happened, and we both looked at each other like, "We shall never speak of this again".
The reason Zona’s thighs are so strong and she was such a help with the bike is probably cause after loosing power that one time she started training every day to build up her endurance in case they ever lost power again
I love watching this show, I’ve been watching it on the Angel app, but what I don’t like about watching it there is that I can’t COMMENT AND SAY HOW AMAZING IT IS!!!!! Also, I hope Zona and Owen actually become a thing by the end of this all, because that would just be fun :)
Why are all the Freelancers bad guys so flaming attractive?? And follow up question, Mr Gandolfini doesn't count as a bad guy right? because if he does I retract everything 😂
I love freelancers! Me and my sisters make iMovies using a very Freelancers-like style, and the musical episode inspired me to make a musical movie. We're already almost done filming the first song and it's really funny.
0:34, 0:42, 0:49 Ninjas, Owen? Really? 3:54 Whoops! Didn't mean to do that! :-) 7:52 That first break obviously didn't count because Zona saw it. 8:57 Made him look. 11:20 Mal's awesome in a space helmet. 12:12 I mean, like, or you could have run in after her or something. 14:17 His name is the same as Mr. Hawkins from Treasure Island.
I come back to rewatch Freelancers s1 + s2 from time to time, and I just realized that the police officer says the chess line a couple of times. I would count how many times he says it but I'm too lazy lol, maybe in my next rewatch. Its nice that when I rewatch it I start to notice things I hadn't noticed before.
I really love Zona was smiling widely as Devin slid next to Owen when he seemed to say something about "grocies" lmao. Freelancers episodes always give me something new to see each time. The details are so crazy lmao
I hardly remember anyone's name when I first hear it. I basically am thinking as they're giving their name, "I am not going to remember this." I have a good memory and I don't forget people's names once I know it. Like I remembered his name was Jim but didn't notice it the first few times I watched this.
I didn't see the character listed in the credits, but I'm pretty sure the "Bike Boy" was James (perhaps with a nose prosthetic for disguise). The voice was a perfect match, even more than his look. Plus, he said his name was Jim, which is a name he used for himself in a couple of different Studio C sketches. In any fashion, he did a great job, and I'd bet $100 it was James Perry playing the role.
Hats off to Jeremy Warner &co! I thought this plot was … stupid, but the directing and camera work was excellent (even framing, proper pauses and timing, establishing shots, steady camera, artistic elements), and combining this with engaging, entertaining acting (and some funny moments) I’m grateful this was here for me to watch with my evening meal. :)
who needs sex refrences, violence, or swearing when you have a bunch of genuine hilarious goofballs. Never stop this is gold.
Especially when you can feel the nostalgia from the old studio C

on the one hand, I need all those things.
On the other hand, I don't need them all the time. Good to have these goofs

@@WinkLinkletter Dude, my family just finished watching Corner Gas! It's very funny (not as family friendly as this though). Crazy coincidence!
I love how Ryan is just slowly dying as the show progresses

"GRADMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

"I pick the hard way!"
"I've had enough of this punk! Where are you keeping the cars?!"
"I'LL EaT YOuR FaCE"

A lot of that scene was improvised
"All you vanilla boys look the same!"
-Ryan, a vanilla boy
Only the most vanillaist of boys
Ryan's blood being the same as Elmo's gets me. EVERY. TIME. it's the most purestest thing ever.
Also the most accurate joke I’ve ever heard 🤣

Zona's wild laughter and their weird conversations about relish and outside being better than inside😂
In future freelancers episodes, could you show us the backstories of all the freelancers, such as how they all came to meet each other, or what their childhoods were like? I'm really curious 😀
Well, we know they met during the 80s.
I don’t think showing their childhood would be on the table
I thought they met in the 90s. Because they said they were 35+ years old and this took place before 2020 before you know.
3:30 this scene had me DYING the first time I watched it... goes on for way longer than it needs to, just absolutely beautiful
Hahaha the best
BEST scene!!
