yeah, I've known about Barry for decades but didn't know he was so dominant in the NBA playoffs. I can tell you, I saw his son Brent SHUT DOWN a Magic Johnson All-Star game slam dunk contest dunking and C-walking, lol, in Inglewood back in the 90s. That kid was a helluva athlete in his early years. It didn't come from nowhere... My feeling is that if people are going to give Dr. J credit for his ABA career, you've gotta do the same for Barry.
Have to admit it Nick's job definitely takes more than just watching a basketball game and then reciting what you saw. Nick obviously has done a tremendous amount of research over the years on this sport and that takes hard work and dedication...but the players still will call people like Nick,Stephen A,Skip and Broussard who never played at a high level "dweebs" Being a sports analyst clearly isnt as easy as it looks.
I just can't wait and hope that I'm still around to watch another New York Knicks championship! It was some of the best basketball that I ever watched as a youngster because that's exactly what I was at that time. I saw when Willis came out after not being sure if he was going to play again. That has to be the, or at least one of the most exciting, thrilling, unique moments in NBA history hands down. This is a very well researched and thoughtful list. Great work Nick. What would be a very special treat is a list comparing say, Jordan's, Magic, Bird's, Barkley's era, to say Lebron's, Mellow, KD, Harden, Westbrook era, up until today. See if in fact today's guys are just as or better, regardless of the rule changes. That would be a really awesome take or list. Thanks. It's a tough call with many players. Ewing ahead of Frazier? Might have to adjust that one.
Kidd was better than Stockton by a mile. Stockton was second fiddle on a loser. If kidd had someone in the top 20 scoring in their primes he would have multiple rings.
Yeah, the jazz system did to Stockton’s assist numbers what the D’Antoni system did to James harden’s scoring numbers. If you go back and watch Utah jazz games, the overwhelming majority of Stockton’s assists aren’t really impressive passing displays or crazy high IQ plays. Just tons of pocket passes, and dribbling up and throwing it to a PF who happens to be possibly the best mid range shooter ever who just did turn around post shots the second he caught the ball. I don’t remember the exact stats, but another pg before Stockton took over in the jazz system was a pure scoring pg who averaged something like 3 apg in college, got dropped into the jazz system and started averaging something like 9 apg. He’s still a great player, but his assist stats are really bloated from the jazz system
as a Bulls/Olajuwon fan, Ewings run of losing in game 7 in '92 v Bulls, going up 2-0 v '93 Bulls, and going to game #7 in '94 finals v Rockets, is one of the greatest 3-year runs without winning a championship... fax!!!

I'm not sure if you understand this Nick, so I'm going to put it in Lebron perspective for you. All time stat leaders matter most. It's the reason people will still look at Lebron as the GOAT in 100 years. Kidd at #27? Theoretically #1 in steals and #1 in assists, being that Stocktons are out of reach. #27???? If Stockton isn't #26 I won't understand. A steal is the most beneficial in-game achievement there is. Championships are TEAM achievements and shouldn't be mentioned or taken into consideration. Give Kidd over Stockton. Stockton despite his numbers only finished Top 10 in MVP ONCE! Very good, but wasn’t the best player on his own team.
Where’s harden
WAIT WAIT NUMBERS DON´T MATCH. WHO ISN´T MAKING TOP 25? CP3, MOSES MALONE OR DAVID ROBINSON? unless O Robertson doesn't count in this top
Patrick Ewing was better than Barkley and Malone. He was a victim of playing the the era of great centers.
harden is comin up sadly or hes not on the list😭😭
Yeah harden over kawhi i dont get it. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
