- The Duke of Sussex is to fly to London in the coming days to be with his father after the King’s shock cancer diagnosis.
The Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said Harry had spoken with Charles, who personally called both his sons to share news of the development.
Harry will clear his diary and travel from his home in California, with the move likely to raise concerns about the seriousness of the King’s condition.
The trip will be a solo one, with the Duchess of Sussex staying in the US with the couple’s two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Royal expert Jennie Bond says this may well ‘open' the opportunity for reconciliation between the father and son.

Several points, Princess Catherine has unlimited help, between her mother, sister,aides, medical staff, nannies, etc. and does not have to rely solely on William. King Charles has the best of medical care available to him. The Queen has unlimited support as well. It is indeed a sad situation, but this over dramatization is too much. So many people without the resources of the RF are dealing with these issues every day. I send blessings for the King for a successful treatment program and recovery. The darling boy should have stayed in CA, or at the very least not made a statement about coming to see his father. I honestly don’t know how H can look his father in the eyes. I must admit I dreamed about a tornado with black clouds last night. Things are actually bad, it doesn't look good I'd say.
